Interior design coordinators work on large-scale interior design projects, supporting the team with creating architectural plans and implementing the work. They work on interiors of large industrial sites, office buildings, or commercial spaces coordinating the work of the members of the interior design team.
You will contribute to the brainstorming sessions of the planning phases and take part in the presentation of design concepts to clients. You will take every relevant aspect of the space and its functions into consideration while coming up with spatial arrangements, light sources, furniture and fabric selection, and other aspects of creating a functional and attractive space. You will do everything an interior designer does, but working on large projects with a team of professionals.
A degree in architecture or interior design will be useful when trying to land this position. You will have to be a creative thinker with great organizational skills.
