Chief - Pulmonary and Critical Care

Overview:


Lead a diverse service line consisting of ICU/critical care, sleep medicine, and outpatient pulmonology practices with an expanding bronchoscopy program and nodule clinic at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island. This service line currently consists of 6 physicians and 11 advanced practice clinicians.
Responsibilities:

* Lead the ongoing development of the service line including an intermediate care unit, structured consult service, ICU continuity, and other program expansions

* Interface with the Hospitalist Team for Intermediate Care management

* Collaborate with Thoracic Surgery team to coordinate Lung Cancer screening, Navigational bronchoscopy, and service line growth

* Clinical practice 75% and administration 25%

* Support institutional teaching mission with ACGME accredited residency programs in Internal Medicine, as well as with medical students

* Opportunity for faculty appointment at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University

Qualifications:

* MD or DO degree

* Board certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine

* Experience in leading a service line or equivalent leadership experience

* Strong clinical practice and administrative skills

* Ability to support institutional teaching mission
