RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write compelling, platform-native copy for organic and paid social content across Instagram, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
Work directly and frequently with channel owners to develop copy based in insight and channel best practices
Craft effective, brand-forward copy for lifecycle channels, including email, push notifications, and in-app content
Adapt messaging to support paid media and other formats, including OOH, podcast ad reads, programmatic banners, and affiliate placements
Contribute to larger brand campaigns by developing short-form extensions, social hooks, and platform-specific executions
Use AI tools to scale and iterate on content, adapt messaging for performance testing, and accelerate creative workflows
Stay tapped into cultural trends, meme formats, internet language, and platform shifts to keep our tone of voice ahead of the curve

QUALIFICATIONS:
2-4 years of professional writing experience, ideally in-house or at a creative/digital agency

Salary Range
Our estimated range for this role is $100k - $125k

We would like this person to define a content strategy to hang the structure of the content around. The current assumption is one article per week with this being linked through on social media and email newsletter. The goal would be to leverage insights from forums and partners such as reddit, TikTok, search trends and publications to generate sought after content to enrich our audience's experience and aid SEO. We aspire to have a role in the industry being known for this offering.
· Emails and segmentation of the database to drive sales would be part of your scope (in alignment with the CRM team) to drive a sense of news and insight.
· The website evergreen copy - leverage consumer insights from going and working in store as a test to learn more about what the beauty shopper wants to discover, search trends and familiarity with competitor skincare content. This is a great opportunity to change the structure, prominence and value equation education required to solve the KPIs on the website.
· Press Releases are executed in collaboration with our R&D partners, brand design and the marketing team.
· Translation of copy documents (press release, website, articles, brochures, ad copy, merchandising etc) to ensure the heart of your intent is maintained through the translation journey.
· Craft PDP copy that is as succinct, influential, persuasive and enticing as possible whilst being on brand. Will be done in collaboration with multiple departments to ensure copy covers all needs.
· Social Posts are executed by our in-house social media and KOL manager. This strategy and copy would be an area to partner and influence to strengthen KPIs.
· Social Influencer briefs - We would love to extend our current social influencer briefs to you for input on the language we use and request within the UGC.
· An evaluation of the location, repetition and use of the different brand slogans and accompanying explanation and brand tenants; ‘Skincare science masterpiece' and ‘Think Beautifully'
· Interview responses to journalists meeting with our Founders. We would appreciate your expertise to craft, check and council on key publication interview responses.
· Overseeing any script and strategy for the podcast executed by our CEO for ‘Think Beautifully'.
· Company internal communications - Are there areas we need to leverage key words. Leveraging or not allowing any guidance on generative AI.
· Attention to detail overseeing the relationship with the translation agency and internal sign off with multiple departments within the company. This role requires effective collaboration across multiple teams, balancing varied perspectives while maintaining a unified and consistent brand voice throughout the organization.

The newsweekly will continue to roll out upgrades and redesigns this year in advance of an extensive relaunch slated for unveiling in 2017.
Job Description
The Village Voice seeks an experienced and talented freelance-to-fulltime copywriter to generate big ideas and bring fresh life to our brand related copy as we segue into a relaunch year. The copywriter will be part of Village Voice's marketing team and report to our Marketing Director on crafting and communicating our brand's messaging in an energetic, intelligent, sophisticated and pithy manner. S/he must be a well-rounded juggler with a sense of positivity and an ability to function well in a deadline-driven environment.
The Village Voice brand conveys dynamic stories for its clients across multiple integrated platforms, including digital, print and events. We're looking for a seasoned writer with polish, wit and a strong marketing sensibility to join our team. This brand storyteller will work alongside the marketing and design teams to contribute toward the evolution of our messaging by creating relevant and engaging content. The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, versatile, and efficient; experienced in both commercial and B2B brand messaging.
Responsibilities include:
Cultivate a consistent brand voice for The Village Voice across multiple platforms
Craft stories around client partnerships through both campaign and execution level thinking
Write compelling long-and-short form body copy, headlines, taglines, etc.
Generate conceptual ideas, in collaboration with the marketing department
Develop messaging across collateral marketing materials and on all integrated platforms
Create copy for digital advertising, corporate communications, customized client proposals, promotions, social media copy, etc.
Think strategically to provide a range of copy options and demonstrate an ability to work within multiple themes
Take a customer-centric approach to crafting copy that understands the Village Voice audience as well as its clientele
Qualifications
5+ years professional writing experience
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, advertising or a related field
Excellent proofreading and editing skills
A self-motivator with comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment on tight deadlines
A well-established, diverse writing portfolio, with a focus on writing for brands
Experienced in balancing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing your workload
