We are looking for a passionate and driven Engineering Technician to join our Equipment Engineering Team who can come in and own the day to day equipment tasks which maintain regulatory compliance, equipment states and a high functioning lab environment. This individual will be able to seamlessly interface with production and engineering teams to drive forward task completion.

What you'll do:

• Perform and document basic routine calibration, maintenance and repairs on laboratory equipment
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance and calibration activities with external vendors
• Onboard new equipment into asset management system
• Assist in executing and documenting equipment IQ/OQ/PQ activities
• Draft operation and maintenance SOPs for new equipment
• Monitor cold storage unit and incubator temperatures and promptly respond to out-of-tolerance events
• Daily Maintenance and cleaning of equipment as recommended by manufacturer manual
• Provide technical support in troubleshooting lab equipment
• Occasionally help equipment engineering with project based work
• Respond to and close JIRA tickets about equipment
• Move equipment between various operations onsite
• Other duties as required

What you bring:

• Bachelor degree in an engineering or science field preferred; AA with relevant experience
• 1 - 2 years experience working with clinical molecular diagnostics laboratory equipment preferred
• Ability to support and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Passion for sustaining operations
• Detail oriented and a fast learner
• Functional with Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
• Familiarity with JIRA
• Team oriented

ABOUT THE ROLE:

NBC Universal has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a Junior Middleware/Web Engineer (Microsoft Platform) of Media Infrastructure Technology with a specific focus on support of the Media Technology and Infrastructure Division for NBCU Operations and Technology (O&T). O&T supports Enterprise Technology, Broadcast and Production systems across the NBCU portfolio globally.

The Junior Engineer for Web/Middleware will partner with NBCU resources on day to day operations and platform support, long range initiatives planning, collaboration with cross-functional business leaders and partners, and participate in a dynamic team providing “best in class” support for our NBCU Media I stations.

Areas of ResponsibilitySubject matter expert in web and middleware technologies

Participate in the design of highly available, scalable, secured, distributed web and middleware hosting solutions

Collaborate with application teams to establish CI/CD orchestration pipelines

Assist project teams in scoping, design, and project work estimations

Identify issues and project business requirements and develop solutions to them

Respond to incidents and service requests; identify areas of optimization and lead efforts to implement them

Collaborate with Cyber Security and identify solutions for remediation of vulnerabilities in the web and middleware infrastructure

Collaborate with Enterprise Monitoring to implement monitoring and alerting for web and middleware technologies

Participate in 24/7 support by acting as an escalation point for any production issues

Arena specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate credit, commercial real estate bridge lending, and commercial and consumer assets).

Quaestor Advisors, LLC (“Quaestor”) is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid and back office services, including asset management, to Arena Investors and external clients.

Quaestor is looking to expand the Technology team, through the addition of a junior-to-mid-level database developer/data scientist who has a passion for coding, troubleshooting data and solving problems. The right candidate would be a key contributor to a proprietary financial data warehouse that is crucial to running its business. Responsivities would include analyzing data, troubleshooting logic problems, monitoring data health and developing data transformations/stored procedures while learning to interface with business-side sponsors from asset management, accounting, and operations. Ideal candidates will be organized, analytical, self-motivated, resourceful and able to work/communicate effectively with all internal functional groups.

Responsibilities

Analyze/Troubleshoot financial data of Arena's Data warehouse.

Assist with projects/tasks related to data analysis, data visualization, and reporting for our Operations, Finance & Asset Management departments.

Develop stored procedures and data transformations.

Develop PowerBI visualizations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science from a top university.

3-5 years experience in technology - tech pure play, startup, fintech, etc.

Internships/Co-ops experience is a plus.

Strong Relational Database knowledge (MS SQL Server, etc).

Fluency in SQL, T-SQL, Stored Procedures.

Familiarity with PowerBI (or Tableau) for data visualizations.

Familiarity with SSRS for reporting.

Experience with accounting, fund-accounting, trading operations-related data a plus.

Familiarity with web development (HTML5, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, REST, etc) a plus.

Familiarity with OOP and at least one language (C#, Java, etc) a plus.

Comfortable with Agile/Scrum SDLC.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to work collaboratively across the organization.

Strong attention to detail.
