What Will You Do in This Role
Provide cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices
Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
What You Will Need for This Role
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license. Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interfacing.
Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required to support a 24/7 schedule.

Clinical Laboratory Associate

The Clinical Laboratory Associate is responsible for specimen processing, test performance and for reporting test results to the supervisors/director. Each individual performs only those high complexity tests that are authorized by the laboratory director and require a degree of skill commensurate with the individual's education, training or experience, and technical abilities.
Each individual performing high complexity testing must -
* Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
* Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
* Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
* Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.
* Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the general supervisor, technical supervisor, clinical consultant, or director.
* Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
Administrative Duties
* Statistical analysis and review of QC testing data.
* Demonstrates expertise with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and equipment software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1.
Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological; with 0 years industry related experience.
OR
2.
Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training (see below);
Equivalent education and experience for educational route 2 is both:
1.
60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution that, at a minimum, includes:
a.
either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses, OR
b.
24 semester hours of science courses that include six semester hours of chemistry, six semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination;
2.
Laboratory training including either
a.
completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES, NAACLS, or other organization approved by HHS (note that this training may be included in the 60 semester hours listed above),
b.
OR at least three months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing.
Required Supervision level
a)
Pre-analytic/Accessioning - may perform accessioning without direct supervision; however, must have independent verification of manual data entries.
b)
Analytical/Testing - may perform testing once proven competency without direct supervision; however, must have independent review of assay acceptance criteria.
c)

Primary Duties
The primary job duties of the psychology lab assistant work study students includes attending lab sessions and assisting the psychology instructor leading the session. This can include tracking attendance, facilitating small group discussion, and assisting with grading of lab work. Lab session work typically results in approximately 3-9 hours per week.
Additional work is available, up to 20 hours per week and is flexible in scheduling. This may include assisting with prepping class materials, research related activities, and other experiences tailored to the student's interest within the field of psychology.
This work study is a mentor opportunity aimed at helping a student develop skills within the field of psychology. Training will be provided so that students can effectively perform their job duties and they will work closely with a faculty member to identify individual goals for additional experiences. Due to the nature of the training that is provided with this work study position within the areas of lab instruction and research methodology, it is highly recommended for students to be psychology majors or interested in pursuing psychology as an academic discipline. Preference is given to students with some psychology coursework, but all interested psychology majors are encouraged to apply.
Our typical lab hours for psychology labs are Monday and Tuesday afternoon/evenings and Friday mornings, but the schedule varies. Work scheduling outside of labs is flexible.
