The Lab Technician will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations and conducting analyses and testing of materials to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including sample preparation, analysis, and reporting of results. Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze samples according to established protocols and procedures. Calculate and report analytical results accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in general lab housekeeping, including sample sorting and disposal. Clean glassware to meet appropriate analytical cleanliness standards. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas used during the workday. Adhere to the Waste Analysis Plan and Chemical Hygiene Plan. Communicate technical information effectively both orally and in writing. Background in instrumentation with proficiency in GC, ICP, and Calorimeter. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalency. Previous relevant laboratory experience desired, but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the waste industry is preferred. Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently. High attention to detail and accuracy in work. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar software. Physical Requirements: Be able to climb stairs Be able to stand and work on your feet for the majority of your shift (less breaks) Must be able to lift 50lbs Some lab sites are required to work outside and collect samples from the tank trailers. Climbing ladders to collect samples to bring to the lab for testing. The proper safety equipment will be provided for your safety and health protocols.
