SUMMARY Assists journeyman level pipefitters in laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing and maintaining piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water fixtures and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and production and processing systems. RESPONSIBILITIES - Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications. - Inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions. - Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers. - Cuts pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine. - Threads pipe using threading machine. - Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine. - Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipe. - Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools. - Secures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools. - Installs and maintains refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meter, pneumatic and hydraulic controls and piping, - Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks. - Welds pipe supports to structural steel members. - May observe production machines in assigned area of manufacturing facility to detect machinery malfunctions. May operate machinery to verify repair. - Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies. - May assist in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation. - Performs minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment. - Respiratory protection is common and may be required. - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. General Production Worker reports directly to the Production Supervisors. In the absence of the Production Supervisors, General Production Workers are to report to the Production Manager. General Labor help for basic construction on commerical solar site. Applicant must have the ability to work outdoor all day and must and prior construction or outdoor labor. All applicants need to be able to pass a Lab and/or onsite drug test. Wage depending on experience, 40 -50 hours per week depending on job location. Ability to continue to work for company after current job is complete will depend on performance. We have a number of site locations so applicant must be willing to travel.

May include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading, and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines. RESPONSIBILITIES: •Under the supervision of a higher-level operation or maintenance employee, performs a variety of tasksin the maintenance, repair or operation of various installations and facilities. •Assist welders, carpenters, painters, or other tradespeople on-site. •Clean up worksites from debris and machinery. •Handle and transport materials, i.e., cement. •Handle power tools and materials, i.e., such as saws and drills. •Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks i.e., digging, stacking goods. •Put up warning signs for vehicles and passerby. •Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures, i.e., scaffolding. •Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions. •Performs other duties as described under Helper. Job Description AZZ has an exciting 2nd shift opportunity for a production worker at our Houston facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will help handle and clean material through the galvanizing process, to help us meet customer commitments. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for tying or assisting with tying material onto racks with wire or chain for safe movement through the galvanizing process. Use wire to tie material to bow racks, universal racks, or other tooling to prepare for the pickling tanks using specific training methods for the galvanizing process. Use rope to lift and prepare material for the pickling tanks using specific training methods for galvanizing process. Operates and visually inspects all equipment (i.e. forklifts, cranes, tooling, etc.) prior to usage to ensure no maintenance is needed. Learns to rack a variety of materials by assisting others. Racks, unracks or cleans material in order as directed. May learn to use a torch to dry materials before hot dipping. May clean material using a grinder, file, or brush as specified by the customer. Inspects material for sags, runs, drips, bare spots and reports it to management. Uses bolt cutters to remove wire from product and tooling and disposes of it per established procedures. Learns to inspect materials for holes, smothered spots, etc. Perform housekeeping activities to keep production area and equipment clean and organized. Confers with supervisors to report material conditions that could result in production or customer problems by form of damage or quality issues. May assist with training new production helpers as specified by management.
