Job Description Summary: A successful Assembly Operator I can safely and efficiently assemble products that meet all quality requirements. This is an hourly, non-exempt position and reports to the Complex Assembly & Fulfillment Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and specifications. Use parts list and retrieve all parts needed to assemble order. Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and power tools. Verify dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and scales. Utilize sand blast and wash & dry equipment. Use the proper lifting method depending upon size and weight of the item to be assembled, Continually inspect products and processes throughout assembly. Inspect and test the final assembly to ensure it meets specifications. Crosstrain on plant machinery as required.
