DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
Verify adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations as needed
Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
Spend up to 10 hours a day in a stationary position on the ergonomically enhanced BMW assembly line
Clean and maintain work area and equipment, including tools
Conduct quality control checks periodically and maintain quality standards

Job Description
As a Prep & Assembly technician, you will use hand tools, power tools, and semi-automated machines to prepare parts for the repair process. You will also clean and reassemble repaired products to meet our “better than new” standards. You will be trained on the job to ensure you meet our quality standards. Your position in Prep & Assembly plays a key role in supporting our fast-paced work and high quality results.
Responsibilities
Fulfilling production orders for delivery to proper teams
Opening common module housings
Sandblasting (with proper PPE)
Preparing modules for repair
Includes working with chemicals (with proper PPE)
Includes wearing anti-static protection
Performing preventative maintenance on equipment
Operating specialized equipment
Following proper escalation procedures
Assembling common modules and preparing them to be shipped
Working with Shipping & Receiving to ensure orders are shipped on time
Skills
Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
Ability to move at a fast pace
Attention to detail and the ability to communicate those details effectively
Must be comfortable using a box cutter/blade regularly
Must have basic computer skills for logging information
Ability to notate repair notes that communicate well
