ALL Carolina Crane Rental of Wilmington, located in Rocky Point, is seeking a professional Heavy Duty Truck Class A Tractor Trailer Driver for our Rocky Point, NC location. Desire to learn crane operation is a plus. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package. This opportunity is eligible for a candidate sign-on bonus of $500 after 100 days of continuous employment.
Essential Functions
Transport cranes and crane components in a safe and professional manner.
Must be able to operate an Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations.
Prepare proper documentation of actions taken.
Will be required to perform physically demanding work such as crane assembly/disassembly and rigging .
Must be willing to work out of town on occasion.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience Requirements
Must have a Class A CDL with an acceptable MVR.
Must have a current Medical Examiner's card.
Must have the ability to strap and chain heavy equipment.
Must be able work safely around moving machinery.
Able to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity.
Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
Able to lift 50 lbs.

Position Overview:
Class A or B Drivers with Hazmat and Tank Endorsements are responsible for loading and unloading their trucks with products such as gasoline and diesel fuel in accordance with Company, State and Federal regulations. Drivers will be responsible for delivering fuel to commercial, residential, construction and agriculture customers. With each delivery Drivers are responsible for recording before and after stick readings to confirm delivery and to check for water while also assessing visible tank conditions to ensure safe delivery. Drivers are responsible for proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections of their trucks.

Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tank and hazmat endorsements

Clean driving record, no reckless or speeding tickets over 15 mph in the last 36 months
Able to handle hoses and fittings up to 75 lbs
Able to pull hose lengths up to 160 feet
Complete understanding of all equipment used for delivery, including pumps, hoses, nozzles,and tank charts
Able to submit legible daily paperwork
Collect payments when needed for deliveries
Enter and exit the truck multiple times per day
Able to load trucks at the loading rack and ensure load fit

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
With minimal direct supervision, will operate a dump truck, with a capacity of at least 26,001 GVW on public streets and highways as well as construction sites to transport and deliver construction material or equipment. May be required to load and unload trucks. Must have valid CDL Class A, B and/or C North Carolina Driver's license, and any applicable endorsements, and pass and maintain NCDOT physical requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1.) Have and maintain a valid and current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License and any applicable endorsements.
2.) Have and maintain a valid and current Medical Certification as required by USDOT.
3.) Climb on, over and around a company vehicle in order to perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections as well as to secure loads.
4.) Lift truck hoods, product or equipment and tools necessary to perform inspection, repair, loading and unloading of trucks.
5.) Support and assist shop personnel with any required repairs.
6.) Wash trucks, clean truck cabs, climb up and down truck washing facilities.
7.) Work outside for extended periods during all seasons of the year.
8.) Operate the vehicle in a safe, lawful and courteous manner at all times.
9.) Keep vehicle, cab interior and exterior clean and mixer drums free from concrete buildup, stones,
debris and loose objects.
10.) Read road signs and follow written or verbal directions.
11.) Maintain contact with appropriate managers by radio, GPS or telephone to inform them of delays,
problems or unusual situations.
12.) Work long, flexible hours as demanded by our customer's including nights, weekends.
13.) Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance when reporting to work and throughout the
day.
14.) Maintain and keep any operator logs and or other documentation required by regulations or the
company.
15.) Perform necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures.
16.) Perform additional duties as required or directed by their immediate supervisor or other manager.
17.) Must have regular and predictable attendance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
CDL Class A or B Drivers' License
Work Experience:
Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience is preferred but not required hauling dirt, RAP, millings and asphalt.
Other:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Current medical certification and card.
Weekend, overnight and some night work maybe required.
Physical Demands:
Heavy physical effort required including climbing, pulling and lifting or moving heavy weight material with occasional lifting or moving materials or equipment (over 80 pounds).
