The primary responsibility is to drive truck/equipment and collect and dispose of garbage from residential, commercial, and industrial areas through the use of equipment and or manually collect trash, garbage bags or bags of grass clippings, or other items as needed. This position will operate a sanitation truck and other waste collection vehicles on an assigned route, or other route when needed, performing equipment and vehicle inspections and minor maintenance and repair of refuse containers, semi's, roll-off trucks and compost equipment, to include welding, replacing parts, painting, and related work as required.
HOURS: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. Flexible schedule, home evenings and weekends!
One 4-hour morning shift rotation every 6 weeks, generally overtime.
HIRING RANGE: $26.15 to $27.19 ($54,404 to $56,571) The full salary range goes to $36.83
RAISES: Employees receive a raise on their anniversary date each year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

What will you do as a Transport Driver?
As part of the Operations and Sales Center Team, the Transport Driver is responsible for transporting, planning, and coordinating general duties of the sales center involving transporting of products, materials, supplies and equipment.

Fargo Route Driver Overview:
Starts/ends daily in Fargo. The route will start in the early morning hours (3-4am, depending on assigned route) and end early to mid-afternoon. The end time varies by day as some days are bigger order days than others, and most drivers average of 45-55 hours per week. Route drivers start the morning picking up the packed trailer and follow the delivery route given. At each stop, there will be some building of the loads to take in to the customer which requires attention to detail in reading and scanning delivery tickets, working with the customer on where to place their products, getting required signatures, and developing relationships with these repeat customers. For our longer routes we are moving towards scheduling 4 days per week which should average about 45 hours per week with occasional 5 day weeks to cover routes as needed.
