Duties and Responsibilities: Completes oil and filter service in fewer than 45 mins: Lube oil and filter Complete inspection Battery inspection with print out Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed parts, billing out parts. Examines assigned vehicle using current inspection process to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Documents all work performed. Participates in needed training programs, schools, and events. Keeps current on assigned training. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to Service Manager. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies Service Manager immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Keeps shop area neat and clean. Maintains all Dealership-owned tools and manuals and returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as Bureau of Automotive Repair rules and regulations, hazardous waste disposal, etc. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to Service Manager. When there is no lube work, does the following: Empties trash cans. Cleans mop buckets. Empties waist oil containers.
