Job Duties
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
Maintain a service van and its inventory.
Process paperwork after completion of each job.
Minimum Qualifications
Less than 2 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Preferred Qualifications
Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment.
Industry related training is preferred
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through

Diesel Mechanic Position Summary:
This position is required to safely and accurately perform general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and understanding basic preventative maintenance and repair techniques of Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles to include tank trailer inspection and maintenance related to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is required.
Diesel Mechanic Essential Functions:
All fleet mechanic positions will be required to perform vehicle maintenance & repair duties safely and accurately in and around the shop operations in a fast-paced environment.
Fleet Mechanic Apprentices will receive hands on training and instruction on preventive maintenance/inspections/repairs of Class 5 through Class 8 Commercial Vehicles and maintenance/inspection of tank trailers.
Fleet Mechanic Levels I & II will learn and become proficient utilizing the company's maintenance software program to create and complete work orders and maintain work order/vehicle maintenance records. They will also train/assist other technicians in performing preventive/repair of facilities and equipment to include trucks, tractors, and trailers.
Fleet Mechanic Level III will build on the duties from Diesel Mechanic I/II and become qualified as necessary with appropriate certifications to perform new technology evaluations, diagnosis, and repairs.
HM183 will build on the duties of a Level III Diesel Mechanic, Certified as a (DOT) commercial motor vehicle inspector in compliance with FMCSR's
Has been signing test forms as the Registered Inspector for at least 3 years.

Perform complete transmission overhauls, clutch replacements, and drive-line repairs

Maintain a clean and organized work area
Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers
Qualification:
Experience as a Transmission Technician (Ford or other OEM experience preferred but not required)
ASE or manufacturer certifications

Valid driver's license with a clean record

Key Responsibilities
Complete repair and maintenance work as detailed on customer repair orders
Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical issues including engine, brakes, transmission, steering, HVAC, and suspension systems
Conduct road tests to confirm repair success and pinpoint vehicle concerns
Utilize factory diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to identify issues and guide repairs
Work in close communication with service advisors to ensure accuracy and transparency in estimates and timelines
Handle warranty work in compliance with Ford manufacturer guidelines
Keep workstations clean and follow safety practices at all times
Stay up to date with Ford training and certification programs
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an automotive technician role
Current Ford certification or willingness to complete factory training
Background working in a Ford dealership is highly preferred
Strong understanding of engine, electrical, and drivability diagnostics
Comfortable with modern diagnostic tools and repair equipment
High attention to detail, steady hand coordination, and mechanical aptitude

Job Duties
As a Service Center Automotive Technician, you'll perform a wide range of services and duties in our Automotive Service Center.
