Set-up, adjust and operate BTB rotary transfer machines to perform progressive machining operations on a variety of standardized work having close tolerance and finish requirements. Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance on machine. Perform various material handling responsibilities to ensure timely movement of product. Required to set-up and operate two or more machines in the area as time allows. Proceeds on work assignments with a minimum of supervision and/or direction. Must be able to effectively communicate to instruct and assist others within the department.
**This is a 3rd Shift position, 8:00pm-6:00am Monday-Thursday. Starting pay is $22.35/hour with a $1.00 off shift premium.**
**Job Duties:**
+ Working from blueprint, operate BTB machines to perform routine machine process.
+ Using a variety of measuring equipment and gauges, will perform quality checks according to the quality plan ensure the quality of the product produced.
+ Utilize Through-Put to ensure an accurate count of parts according to the work order. Meet or exceed production requirements or notify Team Lead or Manager as to the reason for deviation.
+ Add coolant and lubrication to machine as necessary.
+ Perform all preventative maintenance and safety checks on machines.
+ Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions and troubleshoot problems to correct. If necessary, contact Team Lead for assistance.
+ Perform changes and minor adjustments of all basic tooling, progressing to be able to change and adjust all tooling in the machine.
+ Maintain cell board to communicate machine issues or related problems.
+ Work safely at ALL times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices.
+ Keep work area, equipment, machines, storage areas, etc. clean and orderly at all times.
+ Communicate daily with operators from other shifts, Team Lead, and Manager as to the condition of machines and or parts within your responsibility.
+ Maintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, etc.
+ Offer suggestions relative to improving productivity, process, safety, work environment, housekeeping, etc.
+ Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager, or other designated person.
+ Instruct and train assigned operators on work methods, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment.
+ Must perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems. Must also maintain good working relationships with others within the organization.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Proficient in shop math, blueprint reading, specifications, charts, tables and a variety of precision measuring instruments
+ Set-up and troubleshooting experience
+ Excellent communication skills and a team attitude

As a general machinist, you must be proficient in the operation of manual and CNC controlled equipment.

Must be proficient in making required setups, reading of blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and utilization of close tolerance measuring instruments needed in performance of duties of the position.
