Job Description:
· Setup and operate various conventional machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, vertical and horizontal saws to produce and detail a variety of small parts, ranging from simple to complex, which are within prescribed tolerances and hold to finishes specifications.
· Must be able to setup and operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Mazak vertical mills with Mazatrol.
· Work with priority listings to complete fixtures/parts as required for production floor.
· Accurately read 3 dimensional drawings and blueprints and be able to setup manual machines to within tolerance specified to produce products/fixtures.
· Performs machine set-ups, adjusting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut, to machined parts to specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc.
· Checks machined parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances .
· Make edits to CNC programming at machine controls if needed.
· Must understand GD&T

Position Objective:
The Machinist is responsible for fabricating precision components used in life-saving medical devices. Working from technical drawings and CAD models, the machinist develops CNC code using MasterCam to machine moderately complex parts.
