As a Tool Room Machinist, you will be responsible for maintaining production tools, tooling inventory, modifying tools, assisting operators with tooling needs, operating a variety of tool room equipment including but not limited to, lathes, mills, grinders, hones, EDMs. This position works a Monday - Thursday shift - 3:00 pm 1:30 am with overtime as needed. This shift is eligible for a $1.00 shift differential.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Operating tool room equipment to modify and repair production tooling to support production needs. (70%)
Managing the Kan-Ban system to maintain inventory of production tooling. (20%)
Communicating with vendors and placing inventory orders for tooling. (10%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a tool room high production atmosphere, preferably in a cold heading environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on concrete all day.

Repair cylinders, install and adjust proximity switches on molds that have cams and slide actions using their knowledge of hydraulics and programmable logic controllers.
Prepare sketches to fabricate broken sections of molds and dies. Repair the damage by welding, using precision hand tools and machinery generally associated with a machine shop, to include burning with an EDM machine to restore the original contour.
Make minor repairs to molds in presses such as polishing gates and details and remove stuck parts.
Conduct mold changeovers in a timely manner by retrieving and storing inserts.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Technical education preferred
May accept previous work experience in the Tool & Die field in lieu of diploma
3-5 years experience in Tool & Die repairing and building of compression and injection molds and progressive dies
Working knowledge of hydraulics and programmable logic controllers.
Must have the ability to make technical decisions involved with mold & die repair to include replacement & fitting of parts.
Ability to determine the cause of mold malfunctions and design a plan to correct the problems.
Ability to retain the knowledge of mold changeovers.
Tig welding experience.
Electrical ability to check operation of heaters, thermocouples and heat controllers.
Familiarity with three plate mold operations and hot runner systems

Join our team as a CNC Machinist, where you will operate complex production equipment within a dynamic team environment. Utilize manufacturing software and tools to produce and package a variety of products. Follow digital work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to ensure products meet customer specifications and tolerance levels. **Responsibilities**
+ Operate and set up automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production process.
+ Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to ensure adherence to product specifications.
+ Monitor meters, gauges, and control systems to ensure production processes meet specified guidelines.
+ Perform equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.

+ Conduct quality control and in-process testing, modifying equipment as needed.
