The Tool & Die Maker, Level 1 will be responsible for the support of Tool Fabricator Seniors and the group Lead. This person will be expected to understand processes required to rework tooling as directed by the Lead. Basic layout. Use precision measuring instruments, calipers, square, etc.
Set-ups and operates some machine tools to perform completely and independently specific operations as instructed.
Works effectively as a team member; work with little supervision; help when and where needed; make suggestions for process and product improvement
Safely and responsibly setup and operates a variety of machines and tools. About the Opportunity:
The Machinist II position performs all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of components.
Location: Stuart, Florida - On Site. Weekend 1st Shift Friday to Sunday, 6 AM to 6 PM (5% shift differential)
Responsibilities:
Under General Supervision:
Operates all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets
Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required
Loads and deletes programs in the computer
Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine
Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools)
Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions
Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained
Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function
Maintains a neat and orderly work area
Follows all applicable safety rules and precautions
Assists with related training of other employees as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of relevant manufacturing experience

MACHINIST
Role Summary/Purpose:
Set up and operate a variety of computer-controlled and mechanically controlled machine tools such as lathes, VTI, milling machines, and grinders to repair or overhaul aviation components using approved technical data and applicable customer and regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Read blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files
Set up and operate manual, automatic, and/or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces
Monitor the feed and speed of machines
Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications
Measure, examine, and test completed products for defects
Work with engineering on modification of repairs or new repairs
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications / Skills:
High school diploma/GED
One to two years related experience or training
Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, i.e. AWI (Aviation Work Instructions), etc., complete documentation, i.e. routers, etc., and follow verbal instructions
Basic math and computer skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of measuring instruments, such as scales, micrometers, venires, calipers, dial indicators/ surface plates, surface testers, etc.
Analytic skills
CNC Machinist Technical Certificate desired

About the Opportunity:
This role will implement the programmes as designed by the CNC programmer to manufacture components to customer specifications and prescripted aircraft standards on the CNC Machines.
Location: Stuart, Florida - Onsite Role. AWW 1st shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
Participate in a positive and proactive EHS culture across the site.
Perform CNC operations using a variety of different machines - including lathes, milling, and Laser equipment.
Understand, interpret and work to Engineering drawings and to work to tight tolerances.
Provide methods and technical support to other members of the team wherever necessary.
Develop tooling solutions for both cutting and fixturing as needed.
Working in conjunction with the manufacturing engineers and CNC programmer, operate the CNC to meet the daily production targets.
Produce and edit NC programs via the machine control and/or ISO code.
Ensure that full documentation is kept up to date detailing the CNC path, featuring and tooling information.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
Contribute new ideas and positive support to the current processes by improving productivity.
Assist in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilising root cause and analysis tools.
Sharing knowledge and experience and support coaching and mentoring to new employees and apprentices.
Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives across Shop Operations. (I.e. Yellow Belt LEAN Manufacturing, 6S initiatives, cost reductions, housekeeping)
To carry out any other duties that may be necessary to meet departmental objectives.
