We are looking for a Mainframe developer to join our team. The candidate must have 7 years of experience in Cobol JCL DB2 VSAM and CICS on IBM mainframe Assemble and CICS.

Job Responsibilities

• Around 7 years of experience in Cobol JCL DB2 VSAM and CICS on IBM mainframe
• Should be able to work coordinate with Client SME
• Experience of working on Development Production support projects
• Should be responsible for gathering and analyzing system requirements and preparing Technical designs
• Should have good understanding of applications on COBOL JCL CICS IBM DB2 VSAM Good to have Knowledge in Production support
• Should have good problem solving debugging troubleshooting Skills
• Should able to work with Business Analyst and SME and take technical decisions where appropriate keeping the relevant stakeholders in loop
• Should have good written and verbal communication skills Should be able to lead the team
• Assemble and CICS skill is mandatory
• Should be able to work with Client Architect

The Mainframe Developerrole is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Skills:

Java, Micro Services, OpenShift (or equivalent) (2 - 5 years) Agile SDLC and Sprint Team Experience Solid communication skills Experience working on OpenText Exstream products a major plus



Responsibilities:


Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.



Qualifications:


5 - 8 years of relevant experience Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications Experience in managing and implementing successful projects Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements



Education:


Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Infosys is seeking Mainframe developer . This position will primary be responsible to interface with key stakeholders; apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; to deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

This position is based in Weehawken NJ. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Weehawken, NJ or be willing to relocate to the area.

Candidate may also work remotely from any locations within the US and be open to work in eastern time zone. This position will require travel to project location.
Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
* At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.

Must have:

* Experience working in Mainframe, Cobol, JCL, CICS.
* Experience working in DB2 (Stored procedures, Native SP, SQL).
* Experience working in Java and Springboot.

Preferred Qualifications:

* At least 6 years of experience in Mainframe, Cobol, JCL, CICS.
* At least 6 year of experience in DB2 (Stored procedures, Native SP, SQL).
* At least 2 years of experience in Java and Springboot.
* At least 6 years of experience in Software development life cycle.
* At least 2 years of experience in Code review, Peer reviews etc.
* At least 1 year of experience in DevOps technologies and Automation testing
* Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
* Experience in Financial Services domain
* Analytical skills
* Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
