Front Desk Host is a unique position in which the attendant will be responsible for Front Desk, Bell Services, and Concierge Services. The Host will serve as the first physical impression of the property and be responsible for providing a unique, professional, and most importantly hospitable warm arrival / departure experience. Essential Functions Ability to interact with guests by providing exceptional customer service and share hotel knowledge using personalization such as using the guest name. Responsible to know all functions to showcase the hotel and the hotel's unique story to each guest. Process mobile arrivals and execute flawless service in remote check in area according to property, company, and brand guidelines. Actively engage guests in and promote hotel loyalty program including new guest program enrollments. Collect and verify methods of payment, produce room keys for all guests ensuring guest confidentiality throughout their stay and beyond. Assign and escort guest to rooms according to their preferences paying attention to those nonverbal cues that make each experience memorable. Assist and resolve any guest billing inquiries and/or concerns. Consistently utilize Empower guest experience tool to reference, maintain, and add guest requests, preferences, and communication details in accordance with property, company, and brand guidelines. Execute all required front office reports, pre-arrival planning, and checklists as outlined by leadership. Serve as a concierge by providing local information for shopping, dining, and recreational destinations. Be prepared to assist guests in setting up reservations or tours in the area. Assist with guest luggage and receive, store, and deliver both luggage and mail. Respond to and resolve all guest inquiries and/or opportunities utilizing appropriate empowerment guidelines. Follow scheduled shifts and follow break and lunch requirements. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Report any suspicious activity or unusual items in room to hotel leadership and/or loss prevention team Report any irregular behavior from guests in public areas and or in room. Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision. Follow all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbook. Maintain cleanliness and order of work area. Perform other duties as management requests to service our guests. Qualification Standards Education & Experience High School diploma or higher Previous hospitality experience preferred Previous Opera PMS experience preferred Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Physical Demands Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The Director of Engineering is responsible of supporting the company goals of guest satisfaction, cost control and profitability. S/He is also responsible for overseeing the Preventative Maintenance program, ensuring that all guest units/suites and public space meet standards. The Director of Engineering also ensures compliance with all requirements from the Fire Department and maintains up to date all Federal/State or Local governing agents' certifications. Position: Director of Engineer Location: Fort Myers, FL Reports to: General Manager Status: Exempt Essential Functions Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper dress code when working. Comply always with Marriott Brand standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Review Maintenance staff's worked hours for payroll compilation and submit through the payroll system to allow Accounting to complete the payroll process. Focus the Maintenance Department on their role in contributing to the Guest Service Satisfaction. Attend weekly staff meetings and provide training on a rotational basis using the steps to effective training. Document and distribute an Emergency Procedures Plan among all Management Staff and in case of an emergency, conduct and execute the Plan with the Supervision of the General Manager of the hotel. Manage energy expenses and continually work towards energy conservation. Evaluate and spot check the work of all staff and contractors or outside laborers. Implement and supervise on-going guest room preventative maintenance program and requests and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. Maintain files of and be familiar with all operational manuals and warranty agreements for equipment. Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause; determine emergency status and report to the General Manager with findings. Carry a mobile telephone always. Act as emergency contact person for facilities matters. Inspection of guestrooms of a predetermined quantity per month/quarter at Innovation Hotel. Weekly Inspection of Hotel property. Ensure that pool and spa follow area health codes. Establish and maintain key control system. Marginal: Be familiar with the hotel and know the function of each department. Ensure daily property tour of the hotel and exterior perimeter for debris and trash removal is conducted by the Maintenance Technicians; Check the lighting and irrigation periodically. Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager. Hotel Performance Ensure successful performance assisting guests with an exceptional experience. Education & Experience: At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience. Supervisory experience required. High School diploma or equivalent required. Current Certification as required by Federal, State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (i.e. HVAC, pool operation, electrical), property specific. Current certification and licensing to operate and repair the hotels boilers and chillers as required by the state. Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state. Physical requirements: Long hours sometimes required.
