Deliver metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining, using electric pallet mover, hoist, or overhead crane.
Lift metal part or stock onto machine, manually or using hoist, and secure it on machine table, in chuck, or fixture, using wrenches, to assist in setting up machine.
May inventory materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed.

Assist stores, burnout and saw room areas in the movement of routed items, scrap or items designated for off-site storage. Move items at the direction of the supervisor or as requested by various work centers. Ensure that routed items contain a bar code router and that the current operation has been signed off in black ink.
Responsible for the following areas: stores aisle, receiving dock and saw room. Strive daily to keep these areas clear of unauthorized equipment, such as spreader bars, mark lifts/wildcats, welders, tow motors, etc. Disposal of skids and trash is the primary responsibility of maintenance, although, the material handler should assist as needed.
Required to visually inspect material handling equipment for mechanical problems prior to each application. Notify supervisor if tow motor maintenance work orders are needed.
Conform to all company safety policies.
As the primary responsibilities listed above are completed, or at supervisor's direction, the material handler becomes available to assist the work centers with their material handling needs.

Make reports and maintain records as required.
Investigate and analyze discrepancies in material and parts availability by using multiple production processes information, stock movement procedures such as pull systems, JIT, etc.

Load and unload, arranging load to properly utilize space and balance load for proper weight distribution; block and secure as required to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Maintain work areas and vehicles in a clean and orderly condition checking oil, water, fuel levels, etc. to ensure proper operating levels and report any unsafe condition or needed repair or maintenance work as needed.
Follow prescribed driving procedures and use of the daily vehicle operator's checklists.
Participate in team activities and problem solving sessions as required.
Communicate problems and/or solutions to appropriate team member.
As needed, document and/or chart production data to aid in problem identification, quality feedback and production scheduling.
Assist other team members in their duties to ensure a quality product and smooth flow.
Troubleshoot problems when necessary. Train, instruct and assist other operators as required.
Evaluate defective material and tooling, faulty operations, questionable conditions and potential work stoppages.

Position Brand Description:
Receiving, storage, and shipping of raw materials and packaging components in support of Lilly manufacturing sites (Both US and OUS customers). Full-Time
General shift is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with seasonal variations. Flexibility is required, including the ability to work longer shifts during peak demand. Occasional weekend hours may be required based on operational needs.
Wages starting at $25/hr. High pay may be available depending on candidate's experience and skillset.
Our Chandler Resale Yard is currently seeking candidates to fill our need for a Yard, Loader Operator in Chandler, IN. The successful candidate will be a motivated, safety-conscious individual with strong multi-tasking skills. This person will perform general clerical duties in accordance with established procedures, safely load customer trucks, and operate equipment responsibly. The candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, and overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
Job Requirements:
Provide friendly, professional, and thorough customer service.
Commitment to working safely while following all OSHA and company safety policies.
Ability to safely operate a front-end loader to load customer trucks with crushed stone, gravel, sand and any other materials as directed by management.
This role involves tasks such as climbing and dismounting equipment, and performing bending or twisting movements related to shoveling rock if needed to maintain the yard.
Ability to perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance checks, and reporting and mechanical issues promptly.
Strong understanding of load limits, material weights, and safe loading practices.
Ensure proper documentation of sales tickets, load sheets, or scale tickets based on company processes.
Ability to maintain stockpile organization and ensure materials are clearly marked and accessible.
May be called upon at the discretion of Managers to perform other duties.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required
Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating front-end loaders in an aggregates, constructions, or heavy industrial environment is preferred.
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance is required
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy with the ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, drivers, and management
Must pass pre-employment screening process
