About this Role
The Warehouser at Potelco Inc. is responsible for receiving, issuing and maintaining all materials necessary for the operation of the storeroom/yard for Potelco's Northern Operations. They will develop a complete working knowledge of all materials and their use and application. Maintain an organized and orderly warehouse facility. They are responsible for the disposition of all materials through proper channels.
Safety is the number one priority for Potelco Inc. This position requires participation in safety meetings, performing safety inspections, identification and reporting of safety incidents and unsafe conditions, as well as obtaining and maintaining required licenses. This position will support Northern Operations out of our Bellingham office with support responsibilities in Skagit as well.
The pay range for this union role is $24.34 to $34.77/hour.
What You'll Do
* Receiving- inspection, documentation, vendor communication and resolution, proper packaging teardown, labeling and storage
* Inventory and inventory control- maintaining records of issuances, receipts, and other movements. Keeping all inventory systems and data up to date with the physical stock, maintaining master data as required.

What you'll be doing:
* Inbound Product Handling:
* Unload clean product from plant transport shuttle upon arrival.
* Sort and stage clean garments and facility service items (e.g. mats, mops, towels) by route and delivery day.
* Piece in garments or stockroom items that were not sorted/pieced in at the plant to ensure they are included with the appropriate route.
* Outbound Product Preparation:
* Audit flag good carts and verify accuracy against load sheets.
* Identify, document, and communicate route shortages to the Branch Manager, Service Teams, and Production Management.
* Load route trucks with garments and facility service items.
* Soil and Return Processing:
* Unload and sort any mixed soiled garments and products by material type and classification from returning route trucks.
* Load soiled products onto the outbound shuttle for return to the processing plant.
* Inventory and Stock Management:
* Organize and load reductions, special handling items, and clean return products onto the outbound shuttle for return to the processing plant.
* Receive, label, and store incoming vendor deliveries.
* Warehouse Organization and Safety:
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment by performing regular janitorial tasks, including sweeping, disposing of trash, and removing litter.
* Maintain a safe work environment and always adhere to UniFirst's safety procedures.

Job Description

Overview
Forklift operators at Arlington are asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. Forklift operators unload finished product from lumber trucks, sort the product into proper locations, and assist with paper wrapping procedures at the facility. Forklift operators load outbound trucks, box cars, flat cars, and A-frame railcars with the appropriate material. They also perform the necessary car cabling and car tightening, tie down, air bagging, or banding needed for each type of load.
This position is Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. The person who fills this position must have the ability to learn to access shipping computer system to generate required paperwork for shipping and inventory information. As production needs dictate, forklift operators will also assist with processing side loads, paper wrapping procedures, and general site maintenance or clean-up.
