Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The Material Handler will perform the following tasks that are in alignment with the Core Logistics Functions of Receiving, Storing, Issuing, Inventory, Mail, and Delivery. The following list is not inclusive and other tasking may be assigned as required.
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials, property and misc. items on and off incoming trucks or vehicles: within the plant, in associated warehouses and other offsite locations. The method of movement can be: Powered Industrial Vehicles (fork-truck, electric scooter, etc.), electric or manual pallet jack, carts, semi-lives with T-Handle and other similar material handling equipment.
• Loads and unloads material onto or off of pallets, trays, racks, carts, shelves or other similar staging and movement equipment. The method of movement can be: manual physical movement, fork-truck, electric or manual pallet jack, lift-carts and overhead hoists or cranes.
• Opens containers, cartons, wood crates, bundles, or other similar items using hand tools such as steel cutters, crowbars, claw hammer, drills, knives or other similar hand tools.
• Sorts and prioritizes mail and materials for processing based on established priorities within each LAM functional area.
•Identifies and reports any obvious damage to materials and property in any LAM functional area.
•Identifies and validates material and property identification and quantities against documentation and/or systems information. This task will be done at the onset of a task as well as throughout each step of the functional task.
•Records and/or updates various internal and external logs, forms, and documentation. This will also include transactional input into various internal and external systematic records.
•Follows verbal instructions and/or reads documentation accompanying materials or property in order to determine what tasking is required to process or move the items.
•May perform as a member or leader of a functional and/or cross-functional team.
•Attaches identifying tags, markings, and labeling to material, property, handling, staging, storage and shipment containers or receptacles.
•Closes cartons, containers, wood crates, and other similar items utilizing tapes, nails, glues, screws, and/or banding materials.
•Utilizes various electrical or mechanical equipment to perform Core Logistics tasking. Equipment can include: handheld, rotary or impulse sealers; saws, drills, box making machines, foam-in-place machines, label printers, RF scanners, hoists, tape machines, scales, stencil machines, shrink wrap machines, and other similar equipment.
•Ensures all required equipment is in proper working condition and preventative maintenance has been performed before and after use.
•Loads material/property on trucks, vans, trailers or other similar vehicles. Installs strapping, blocking, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Qualifications You Must Have:
•Work experience in the core Logistics functions of Receiving, Storing, Issuing, Inventory, Delivery, Packing, and/or Shipping.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engages in daily activities of receiving, inspecting, labeling, storing, and moving customers' goods and materials within the warehouse. Maintains efficient warehouse operations by meticulously receiving, inspecting, labeling, storing, and retrieving customer goods and materials. Ensures order accuracy and efficiency by reviewing, processing, and maintaining documentation for all incoming and outgoing shipments (bills of lading, airway bills, packing lists, etc.). Identifies and reports any discrepancies to the team lead for prompt resolution. Maintains inventory control by meticulously comparing packing lists with physical materials, performing data entry into our inventory control software system, and conducting regular cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
Prioritizes a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations, completing safety checklists, and utilizing appropriate safety equipment such as dock plates and dock restraining systems, trailer jacks, wheel chocks, and glad hand locks.
Utilizes warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software applications to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, order fulfillment, and stock movement. The Delivery Driver/Warehouse role will identify products, conduct inventory, and execute delivery runs. The following is a list of Delivery Driver/Warehouse job duties. These responsibilities and physical requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
Team members will be walking or standing for most of every workday; the remaining time will be spent sitting/driving a company vehicle, sitting at a desk, or working in the warehouse.
Must accurately identify products, requiring basic reading skills and learning about the company's products.
Identify incoming shipments, compare products received to the packing slip, noting any differences, and forward the packing slip to Order Processing on time.
Put a delivery run together, organize deliveries, and log deliveries into a delivery log.
Stock products on shelves in a first-in, first-out order.
Pull products based on delivery tickets and double-check the order for accuracy.
Responsible for processing UPS and motor freight shipments.
Load all products into a delivery truck and drive and unload all products at customer's locations.
When delivering the product, a driver is responsible for having the customer sign the delivery ticket accepting the order. One copy should be given to the customer and the other to Order Processing when the driver returns to the branch office.
