Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Assist in the mechanical design of new chemical monitoring and management systems, including modules, assemblies, and individual parts. Responsibilities include:
Creating detailed 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
Preparing accurate technical documentation in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum of two years of college
Experience in Inventor 3D CAD and AutoCAD software is strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with other team members.

Role and responsibilities
As a Summer Intern in Mechanical Design Engineering, you will participate in developing portions of the lithography system and/or associated tooling. You will work on sub-systems involving robotics, mechatronics, precision mechanics, and/or opto-mechanics. Precision machine design at ASML starts with understanding the functional requirements and deriving specifications. You will collaborate with design engineers and system architects in a multidiscipline project team to develop concepts, perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, generate detailed CAD designs, create engineering drawings, partner with suppliers, and support system integration and testing.
This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
Education

Experience

Duties Description Under the direction of and supervision of a licensed, Professional Engineer 1/2, the incumbent will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to, the following:
* Provide technical review and comment for on-site wastewater treatment systems;
* Evaluate stormwater management and erosion and sediment control plans;
* Evaluate permit applications for single family dwellings, subdivisions, mines and other activities;

The incumbent will be required to attend field visits to evaluate Agency transactions and coordinate review with project sponsors, contractors, consultants, and federal, state and local authorities as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).
For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the title for which they apply. At this time, agencies may recruit and hire employees by making temporary appointments.
At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
