Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Assist in the mechanical design of new chemical monitoring and management systems, including modules, assemblies, and individual parts. Responsibilities include:
Creating detailed 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
Preparing accurate technical documentation in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum of two years of college
Experience in Inventor 3D CAD and AutoCAD software is strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration with other team members.

Role and responsibilities
As a Summer Intern in Mechanical Design Engineering, you will participate in developing portions of the lithography system and/or associated tooling. You will work on sub-systems involving robotics, mechatronics, precision mechanics, and/or opto-mechanics. Precision machine design at ASML starts with understanding the functional requirements and deriving specifications. You will collaborate with design engineers and system architects in a multidiscipline project team to develop concepts, perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, generate detailed CAD designs, create engineering drawings, partner with suppliers, and support system integration and testing.
This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
Education

The ideal candidate shall possess theoretical and practical knowledge in the commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and related controls. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing project information; executing daily field activities; maintaining project documentation; assisting the Project Manager with schedule and planning of resources, and providing guidance to Project Engineers. May perform as team lead on small to medium sized projects. Will be expected to assess and test at a high technical level. **Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Commission mechanical, plumbing & fire alarm and suppression equipment and related controls, primarily in data center environments.
+ Review system designs for compliance with client facility goals.
+ Prepare plans and procedures for execution of the commissioning process.
+ Conduct commissioning activities from the design phase through the occupation phase, in accordance with client requirements and industry commissioning process best practices.

**Education/Experience/Background:**
