About the Job We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer, Mechanical and Fluid Systems to design, build, and operate large-scale test equipment for hydraulic turbines, electrical generation powertrains, and high-power equipment. This role requires deep expertise in fluid dynamics, process piping, and mechanical system integration. As a Test Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design and integration of test rigs that handle pressurized water and air to transfer energy. You will work closely with software and controls engineers to create integrated test environments that push the boundaries of power generation technology. This is a hands-on role where you will prototype, build, and troubleshoot alongside world-class engineers and technicians. Perform hands-on assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5-10+ years of experience in large-scale fluid systems design and testing. Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Proven experience with process piping design, specification, and installation. Experience designing tanks and vessels for large-volume fluid storage. Expert-level proficiency in 3D parametric CAD and PLM (NX preferred; SolidWorks, Catia, Inventor, or Creo acceptable). Experience designing custom machined and welded components for test fixtures and structures. Competency in structural analysis and mechanical design calculations. Working knowledge of electrical power systems and basic connector selection. Familiarity with NFPA 79 (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery). PURPOSE The EHS Engineer Intern supports the EHS Leads and project team in the safe construction of a project. This position assists in EHS documentation to ensure a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors. This position is in Nippon Dynawave Packaging's Engineering Department. The Engineering Department manages projects that support continued improvements in the Fiber Supply, Fiberline, Paper Machine, Extruder, Wet Lap, and Energy & Utility operating units. Project Engineer-Mechanical Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position has responsibility for capital and major maintenance projects that support safety, reliability, and process improvements in the mill's operating units. Strong project management and technical skills are required to coordinate the involvement of resources from Operations, Maintenance, consulting engineers, and vendors. Manage projects from design, through construction, and start up. Essential Functions Participate and lead as appropriate in safety process improvements to ensure an injury free work site. Coordinate designs, drawings, and specifications that will meet process and facility objectives Evaluate, select, and apply engineering standards, proven techniques, procedures and criteria to meet project objectives. Inspect and evaluate the condition of specific process equipment. Troubleshoot processes and equipment, determine root cause of problems, and develop corrective action plans. Utilize maintenance and financial software system to perform job functions for work order processing, purchase requisitions, and project cost accounting. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience in Pulp and Paper manufacturing, Petrochemical, or Power Plant (steam, boilers, generation) facilities preferred. Team oriented, with a good work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. Must be self-motivated. Experience in administering contracts with vendors and contractors. Must have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects that span multiple engineering disciplines. Willingness to work extended hours and off shifts when conditions warrant.
