Reliability Co-Ops:

Your daily interactions with PCA personnel in Maintenance and Operations will sharpen your communication skills and strengthen your leadership qualities.
As a reliability co-op you will be mentored by Area Reliability Engineers as a resource on daily troubleshooting issues. Work on special project assignments with Reliability Engineers. This will teach you responsibility and develop communication skills.
You will Focus on predictive and preventive maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability. Examples are lubrication techniques, optical alignment and vibration analysis. You will learn best practice maintenance and assist in root cause failure analysis process to resolve equipment failures.
You will have the opportunity to work a variety of equipment and have the to explore a wide range of working environments.
Second and third term students will be assigned additional job duties to further their development.
Basic Qualifications:

Education and Licensure
Currently registered in a Bachelor's or Master's university degree program in a relevant engineering discipline. (required)
Degree focus area in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office. (preferred)
Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills. (required)
Valid U.S. driver's license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites. (required)

Job Summary
The Controls Engineer Intern will assist in projects aimed at improving plant safety, efficiency, and reliability. This role is designed for first or second-year university students to gain hands-on experience in automation and control systems under the supervision of experienced engineers.

This is an onsite position located in Bulls Gap, TN.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist in documenting plant requirements for Controls and Automation systems.
* Support engineers in troubleshooting and maintaining control systems.
* Help prepare basic electrical drawings and documentation.
* Observe and learn PLC and HMI programming concepts.
* Participate in team meetings and collaborate with operations and maintenance staff.
* Perform simple data collection and analysis tasks as directed.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing tasks under supervision.
* Working conditions - This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on the shop floor in a Manufacturing facility with no heating or air conditioning. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
Job Requirements
* Currently enrolled in a first or second year of a university program in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
* Basic understanding of electrical circuits and control systems from coursework.
* Interest in automation and willingness to learn new technologies.
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
* This is an active role with a substantial amount of time spent on the shop floor, in an environment with no heating or air conditioning, requiring walking and standing at and around machinery.
