    Job Description Senior Mechanical Engineer/Designer . The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of electro-mechanical equipment. Potential hire will be working directly with the design team and manufacturing vendor. Candidate will design, troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve challenges related to product development. This includes root cause analysis, working with suppliers and in-house support personnel, and design improvements from concept to production. Roles and Responsibilities Design systems and integrate the multiple systems using SolidWorks from initial concept stage through production launch. Generate and provide analysis of FEA studies in Solidworks. Generate and analyze drawings from parts/assemblies IAW ASME 14.100 and MIL- STD-31000. Assist in production problem solving by interfacing with the manufacturing team to find creative solutions. Communicate and collaborate with team members and represent the company with customers and suppliers. Required Education/Experience: Education: 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience. OR Education: 2-year technical college degree/military experience with 15+ years of mechanical and design/drawing experience. Technical Skills: Experience designing mechanical systems and power generation and distribution systems. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), problem solving, technical documentation/communication. SolidWorks and 2D CAD and mechanical design experience are mandatory for this position everything else is negotiable. Personal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving abilities.
