Role and responsibilities
As a Summer Intern in Mechanical Design Engineering, you will participate in developing portions of the lithography system and/or associated tooling. You will work on sub-systems involving robotics, mechatronics, precision mechanics, and/or opto-mechanics. Precision machine design at ASML starts with understanding the functional requirements and deriving specifications. You will collaborate with design engineers and system architects in a multidiscipline project team to develop concepts, perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, generate detailed CAD designs, create engineering drawings, partner with suppliers, and support system integration and testing.

Duties Description The incumbents will oversee the implementation of Division of Materials Management related programs related to solid and/or hazardous waste. More specific duties will include:
* Inspections and other field assignments related to solid and/or hazardous waste management facilities, as well as other sites such as unauthorized disposal facilities, inactive landfills, etc., to determine compliance with 6NYCRR Part 360 Series and Part 370 Series regulations;
* Receiving, investigating, and responding to reported violations and complaints made against such facilities and/or operations;
* Initiating legal actions against facilities or entities in non-compliance with regulations;
* Sampling and/or analysis of soil and groundwater;
* Providing technical guidance to facility owners or operators, the public, and other divisions;
* Permitting, analysis, and oversight of complex projects;
* Maintaining records of outputs and preparing appropriate reports including a monthly report; and
* Attending training and workshops offered by the division, EPA or other educational institutions on an as needed basis.
Essential Functions:
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, facility representatives, and the public in person, on the telephone, and in writing. Must be able to travel independently to and within facilities. Must complete all tasks in a timely and professional manner consistent with Department policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).
For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.

Individuals appointed as an Engineer Trainee are required to complete a minimum of one year of successful performance as an Engineer Trainee and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. If you do not pass the FE by the end of the second year of the traineeship, you will be terminated from your position.
Additional Comments If appointment is at the Assistant Engineer (Environmental), SG-20, level the starting salary for this position is $97,673. This amount is comprised of a base salary of $74,193, an increased hiring rate of $9,980 specific to the title and location of the position, and a geographic pay differential of $13,500 specific to the title and location of the position.
The job rate for this position is $107,621. This amount is comprised of the base salary of $94,121 with an additional geographic pay differential of $13,500, specific to this title and location.
Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.

Modern Packaging is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to develop, design, and implement new product designs of automated machinery. Candidate shall have the ability to create new designs, modify existing designs, and provide technical support to customers. The position is located at our Deer Park, NY location and will report to the Director of Engineering.

Engineering, design, and fabrication of automated machinery
Develop machine drawings, 3D modeling, assembly and detail drawings.
Manage projects from quote to FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
Interface with manufacturing to ensure parts are properly fabricated, machined, and assembled. This will include updating revisions to mechanical design specifications/drawings.
Interface with assembly department to conduct machine testing and proper operation.

Responsibilities
• Perform field assessments of existing mechanical systems, including steam distribution, hydronic systems, airside equipment, and controls-often in buildings with incomplete or 40+ year-old documentation.
• Interpret and update legacy mechanical drawings and system schematics.
• Conduct HVAC load calculations using Carrier HAP, with a strong understanding of building diversity and NYC climate profiles.
• Design HVAC and steam system upgrades for high-rise buildings, including central plant, boiler plants, and terminal unit integration.
Qualifications
• 4-10 years of relevant experience in MEP consulting or building systems engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of steam, chilled water, hot water, and air distribution system design.
