**The Opportunity**
+ Design of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services within the built environment, with an emphasis on sustainable design

**Newark Hiring Range -** The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Newark is $26.50 to $47.50 per hour. The Opportunity
* Design of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services within the built environment, with an emphasis on sustainable design
* Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to develop integrated solutions for complex buildings
* Perform engineering analysis and modelling, including whole building load calculations and energy analysis, facade thermal analysis, and airflow modelling
* Document system design in Revit MEP
* Communicate technical ideas to a broad range of audiences using various formats, including presentations and workshops
* Write reports documenting calculation methods and results, design assumptions, and other technical information
* The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
* Influence with design on sustainable outcome for our clients to align with Arup sustainability commitment
Is this role right for you?
Required
* Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Architectural Engineering, or Building Sciences related degree
* Coursework in heat transfer and thermodynamics, fluid dynamics or HVAC design
* Developing interest in the built environment
* Proven leadership experience and time management skills
* Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way
* Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, teamwork, creativity
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
* Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
Preferred
* Pursuing a Master's Degree in Mechanical, Architectural Engineering, or Building Sciences related degree
* Passed Fundamentals of Engineering examination
* Membership in ASHRAE, USGBC, ASME
* Coursework in Energy/thermal modeling experience, Revit or 3D modeling experience and/or sustainability
* Advanced computational modeling (e.g., CFD)
* Computer programming languages (e.g., Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper)

New York City Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York City is $26.50 to $47.50 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of New York City, NY will differ.

About the role:
iCapital's Data Platform team is building a centralized Data Lakehouse that combines scalable structured and semi-structured data. Data Platform team is the core and base of iCapital Data & Analytics group. We focus on building data that is consistent, secure, scalable and flexible with structure and governance of data warehouse. We source data from various databases (within and outside, structured and unstructured), external vendor feeds, REST APIs into the Data Lakehouse and build data modeling which is leveraged by downstream like Data Science/Machine Learning, BI & Growth Analytics, Platform Product, other CRM based Integrations. Role accountabilities:
As a Water Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to various projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, planning, designing, and providing support for project management in multiple water optimization and water resilience projects. You will also be involved in assessing, developing, and managing sustainability and resilience projects which will involve conducting vulnerability and mitigation assessments, as well as planning and designing for utilities, municipalities, and cities. In addition, you will perform fieldwork activities including site visits, sampling, water quality analyses, and technology evaluations. You will also contribute to troubleshooting and optimizing plant operations, and provide support for Asset Management projects. This will involve conducting data analytics, performing operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and overall performance evaluations of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
Supporting preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings.
Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards, and facilitating coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
Working independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
Learning and using digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.
