Key Responsibilities * Utilize cutting edge technology and software to develop software solutions to a variety of industries * Support the electrical and mechanical design teams * Contribute to 1-5 active and real-world projects on a daily basis * Support and contribute to effort of the Controls Engineering team * Contribute to automation design, debug and acceptance testing within the department * Work closely with your project team to find solutions to achieve targeted functional outcomes within defined budgets and timelines. * Assist with hands-on assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of custom automation equipment. * Assist with troubleshooting of custom automation equipment Qualifications and Experience Essential * Enrolled in a post-secondary engineering program, seeking a summer internship * Eagerness to learn while working with a team to develop custom industrial automation systems * Willingness to learn through a variety of tasks, challenges, and projects while supporting your team. * Talented team player capable of working efficiently with a multi-disciplinary team * Willingness to own your own small project, ask for help and not be afraid of failure, but to use that as a way to push forward. * Wanting to learn, willingness to accept challenges and push forward, "out of the box" thinking, wanting to "dig deeper" to why things work and how to make them do what you want. * Ability to look past the common way of doing things and innovate as needed to solve problems * Target graduation date in 2028 or earlier Physical Demands * While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear. * Occasionally lifts or move up to 25 pounds.
