Overview
The Intern is a student with an interest in mechanical installations for hospitals, hotels and institutional facilities, who works during the internship to further education and experience.
Responsibilities
Creates a master checklist of expectations and goals to use as a guide throughout the internship and then used as an evaluation at completion.
Assists the departments and team with all aspects of the projects and estimating or business operations.
Participates in special tasks/projects and work with team and various resources to complete.
Assists by collecting information, creating and updating files, documents, spreadsheets, databases, reports and schedules.
Prepares reports and presentations as needed.
Attends departmental and jobsite meetings.
Performs tasks under the supervision of an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or departmental staff.
Participates in any learning experiences offered such as orientations, lunch & learns, outings, jobsite tours, safety inspections, etc.
Studies meeting notes, policies and procedures to learn the company way.
Attends the exit interview, providing feedback on the experience.

Designer should be able to design and draft domestic water, sewer, and natural gas piping systems, including riser diagrams, for small to medium projects. Designer should also be familiar with design of medical gas systems.

At Toole Design, our paid internship program is designed to give you real experience with meaningful work. Over 8-12 weeks, you'll be fully embedded in project teams alongside planners, engineers, and landscape architects-contributing to active projects from day one. Overview
The Technical Services Engineer (TSE) I is a technical expert who supports Integrated Solutions (IS) project delivery as a member of IS Technical Services (TS) team. The TSE will provide technical authority and direction in the development and successful implementation of energy conservation measures for retro-commissioning (RCx) activities.The role provides technical authority in all phases of the commissioning (Cx) process and collaborates with the engineer of record in system optimization, and solutions development in the field. Additionally the TSE supports standards and process development, as well as training and mentorship of TS staff. The role works in close collaboration with project energy managers, and TS team managers to ensure project outcomes are met.
A TSE has a very high level of experience and expertise in the fields of MEP design and implementation with emphasis on building automation and energy management.
Responsibilities
Pre-Engineering
Provides technical assistance to pre-engineering teams during data collection surveys.
Design and Pre-Construction
Leads site surveys to determine existing facility conditions and the requirements to complete the scope of work.
Develops energy conservation strategies to execute the project scope of work related to retro-commissioning and assists design team with integration of all energy conservation strategies to ensure all systems have a comprehensive and unified approach to energy management.
Reviews Requests For Proposals (RFPs) for equipment and services procurement to ensure project outcomes are accounted for.
