The Energy Transfer Integrity Engineering group manages the regulatory required pipeline integrity program, which includes the inspection and repairs of pipelines and facilities in the Eastern US. The candidate would work with Integrity Engineers, Project Managers, Corrosion Group, Operations and Field organizations with an ultimate goal of understanding and documenting asset integrity and making recommendations for future assessments and the development of preventive & mitigative (P&M) measures to reduce risk.
The Energy Transfer Terminal Engineering group supports the Terminal Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Project Management groups at the Northeast Terminal facilities (natural gas liquids processing & refined products storage). Terminal operations include dehydration, fractionation, chilling, refrigerated storage, atmospheric storage, underground storage caverns, marine operations, and pipeline operations.
The Energy Transfer Butane Blending Engineering group is responsible for the design, construction, and integration of automated processing equipment for Butane Blending systems at fuel loading terminals. Energy Transfer's patented Butane Blending System uses state of the art technology to automatically sample gasoline and analyze its properties, and determines the optimum amount of butane that can be injected, while keeping the gasoline within regulatory limits.
Minimum Requirements
* Undergraduate student in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering preferred (Petroleum Engineering acceptable).
* The candidate is required to have good analytical skills, perform calculations and diagnose problems, have good communication skills to facilitate cooperation between different functional groups, be able to identify multiple alternatives and/or recommendations for a given problem, as well as facilitate the implementation of solutions. The interns will spend time in the office and in the field (pipeline and/or industrial manufacturing environment). Personal Protective Equipment and safety training will be provided.
