Click here - ******************************************* Sign-On Bonus of $12,500 to Eligible Applicant Performs highly specialized and complex testing that involves the microscopic screening and evaluation of cytologic specimens for the detection of cancer and other pathologic conditions. * Performs thorough and accurate microscopic evaluation of gynecologic Pap tests using recognized cytomorphologic criteria to make cytological interpretations and correlates findings with patient clinical data according to established laboratory procedures. * Performs thorough and accurate microscopic evaluation of non-gynecologic, fine needle aspiration and consult cellular samples using recognized cytomorphologic criteria to make cytological interpretations and correlates findings with patient clinical data according to established laboratory procedures. * Accurately records all appropriate specimen and results data for cases screened by self in the Beaker computer system in accordance with established laboratory procedures. * Provides technical support for the fine needle aspiration service. * Demonstrates knowledge of laboratory quality assurance, safety and compliance programs and performs tasks within those guidelines. * Engages in technical processing, preparation, staining, and cover slipping of cytological specimens as assigned and within appropriate timeframes. * Performs area-specific support/clinical activities. * In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's of Science Degree required. Experience: No experience required. Licensure: CT (ASCP) certified or eligible (or equivalent under CLIA). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull The starting base rate for this role is $37.00 hourly.
