Mesa Public Schools company history timeline

1896

Born in Solomonville, Arizona in 1896, Pedro W Guerrero came to Mesa as a young man and impacted this community greatly with his activism and civil contributions.

1916

In 1916 he founded one of the longest running sign companies in the state of Arizona, the Guerrero-Lindsey Sign company.

1962

In 1962, Pedro became the first American of Mexican descent to be the District Governor of the Rotary Club in the State of Arizona.

1976

It was established in 1976.

2000

When the doors opened on August 16, 2000, over 600 students were ready for the first day of learning at Pedro W. Guerrero Elementary.

2001

A dedication ceremony was held on April 6, 2001, and included a ribbon cutting, open house, school tours and entertainment.

He is a 2018 Fellowship recipient by Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation in Washington, DC. From Mesa High, Mr DiDomenico was awarded the prestigious 2018 Zedo and Zahner Award.
