Position Summary
Independently examines and evaluates internal controls governing financial reporting and business processes, including review of the Company's relevant risks, internal controls, efficiency, effectiveness, governance, performance and compliance. Provides assurance that the Company maintains effective internal controls at a reasonable cost across all business processes.
Primary Accountabilities
Prepares MSB's Internal Audit Plan based on identified financial and operational risks and relevant accounting requirements for each financial year and presents it to the Senior Risk Committee for review and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors for approval.
Manages teams of auditors specializing in financial and operational audits, as well as administrative / support personnel.
Sponsors the Company's Internal Audit Policy.
Complies with professional accounting and auditing standards in the conduct of all assurance activities.
Provides to executive management and the Audit Committee an Internal Audit progress report detailing Control measures analyzed, Internal Audit methodology, findings, recommendations and a summary of management's responses, actions and action dates.
Serves as the Company's primary liaison with federal and state regulators to ensure efficient and effective completion of onsite examinations and follow-up.
At least quarterly, supplies a summary of Internal Audit observations, actions taken and action outstanding to the Senior Risk Committee and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
Works with subject matter experts within Risk Management to ensure efficient and effective conduct of independent reviews of operational, credit and regulatory risks.
Ensures an appropriately broad range of internal audit coverage in consideration of the Company's strategies, business processes, risks and Controls.
Determines the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information and the means used to identify, measure, classify and report such information.
Reviews the systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations for which non-compliance could significantly impact the Company's operations and / or financial performance.
Reviews the means of safeguarding assets and, where appropriate, verifies the existence of such assets.
Continually evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness with which assurance resources are employed, identifying opportunities to improve operating performance, and recommending solutions to problems where appropriate.
Reviews operations or programs to ascertain whether (1) results are consistent with established objectives and goals, and (2) operations or programs are being carried out as planned.
Coordinates audit & assurance work with External Auditors to ensure completeness of coverage, reduction of redundant effort and the effective use of audit resources.
The role requires occasional travel for training and team meetings, and willingness to travel periodically, to locations within market as needed.
May require work in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers.

Position Summary

Position Summary
The Associate Solutions Engineer Intern will join Midland's Salesforce Team to gain hands-on experience supporting and enhancing the bank's Salesforce ecosystem. This role offers exposure to customer relationship management (CRM) systems, workflow automation, and cross-departmental collaboration. The intern will learn how Salesforce supports business operations across the bank while working alongside a highly collaborative and experienced team.
Primary Accountabilities
* Participate in daily stand-ups, team meetings, and collaborative project sessions.
* Assist with managing Trello boards, support queues, and internal project requests.
* Shadow team members to learn Salesforce functionality, data management, and configuration processes.
* Contribute to ongoing Salesforce projects and enhancements, completing assignments based on skill level and progress.
* Observe how the team supports various business lines, learning the order of operations and integration between departments.
* Develop a foundational understanding of CRM systems and workflow tools through guided mentorship and project ownership.
* Participate in team check-ins, progress reviews, and training sessions to strengthen technical and professional skills..
* Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
* Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
Education/Experience:
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years completed.
* Works well in team environment.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams.
* Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.
Internship Details:
* Internship duration: Must be available Mid-May through late July 2026.
* Schedule: Must be available Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week).
* Must reside locally and report to one of our St. Louis, MO offices.

* Open accounts including but not limited to checking, savings, safe deposit box, basic business related, etc.
* Performs changes to existing accounts as requested by the customer.
* Proactively looks for ways to improve processes that will improve the customer's experience and communicate those ideas to branch management.
* If applicable, allows entry of safe deposit box holders.
* Maintains professional appearance and conduct within the guidelines set forth in Employee Handbook.
* Maintains customer confidentiality.
* May participate in bank promotions, external community events, and promotional activities.
* May be required to work in other First Mid Banking centers.
* Complete other specified duties as assigned.
Sales:
* Develops and maintains relationships with business partners.
* Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers.
* Educate and encourage customers to use alternate delivery systems such as ATM, Debit Card, Online, and Mobile Banking.
* Maintains knowledge of all banking products through training courses, branch meetings, corporate communications, etc.

Qualifications
Education:
* High School Diploma/GED required.
Experience:

* Successfully completes required compliance and First Mid training curriculum to be proficient in the basic account opening process. Advancement in this role will be based on management discretion.
