Position Summary:
The Risk Governance and ERM Data Analyst supports the enterprise risk management (ERM) function by providing data-driven insights, maintaining risk governance frameworks, and ensuring accurate and timely risk reporting. This role plays a key part in monitoring organizational risks, maintaining risk registers, coordinating governance activities, and supporting risk-related regulatory submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Monitoring & Assessment:
Assist in the ongoing monitoring and assessment of enterprise risks and the effectiveness of internal controls.
Risk Register Management:
Maintain and update enterprise risk and control registers. Facilitate the addition and categorization of new risks across the organization.
Key Risk Indicators (KRIs):
Track and update key risk indicators in coordination with risk owners. Ensure timely collection and validation of KRI data.
ERM Data Analytics & Reporting:
Support the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to monitor and quantify enterprise risks. Assist in scenario analysis and trend identification.
Policy Management:
Maintain the library of risk-related policies, ensuring documents are current, approved, and aligned with corporate governance standards.
Governance & Committee Coordination:
Organize and support risk committee meetings, including agenda setting, preparation of materials, and documenting meeting minutes. Assist in risk-related regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in risk management, internal audit, data analysis, or governance support, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
Familiarity with enterprise risk frameworks (e.g., COSO ERM) and regulatory risk reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with risk management platforms or GRC tools (e.g., AuditBoard, Archer, MetricStream).
Understanding of regulatory environments and reporting requirements (e.g., ORSA, NAIC, MAS).
Project coordination experience in cross-functional environments.

Summary/Job Purpose:
Manages the portfolio and develops strategy with senior management to ensure achievement of profit and revenue goals for our property segment. Position Overview:
As an expanding and critical area in the insurance industry, catastrophe modeling plays a key role in protecting insureds from the impacts of climate change. MSMM is seeking a motivated individual with strong analytical skills and an interest in quantitative analysis to join our Catastrophe Modeling team.
The Catastrophe Modeling Analyst will work closely with experienced modelers to perform account-level modeling for the company's property portfolio using vendor software (AIR) and internal tools. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and ensuring the quality of property data, as well as supporting underwriters with outputs needed for informed risk decisions. Additional responsibilities include portfolio-level analysis for PML calculations, property aggregations, profitability, and trend indications.
Essential Functions:
Perform account-level property catastrophe modeling and assist underwriters with day-to-day requests.
Review and validate high-impact account modeling results; support initiatives to improve modeling efficiency.
Identify and monitor aggregate exposures to mitigate potential losses from extreme events (e.g., hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires).
Track and analyze underwriting data to manage MSMM's property portfolio.
Maintain data quality through regular file and portfolio reviews and completion of QC checklists.
Collaborate with underwriting, reinsurance, and management teams to implement best practices for data integrity.

Summary/Job Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the underwriting process for property coverages.
Under minimal supervision provide technical underwriting and administrative support for assigned new and renewal accounts. Including but not limited to collecting data, account setup, rating, producing quotes and binders, issuing policies and endorsements. Proactively assist in ensuring the underwriting process is handled efficiently and accurately. Provide Underwriters with required reports and analysis.
Essential Functions:
Collect and reconcile new and renewal submission information to prepare policy/account files for underwriter review with minimal direction in accordance with company underwriting guidelines and standards.
Review and analyze account information for necessary underwriting data (exposures, loss information, driver information, financials, loss control reports, etc.). Communicates and follows up with broker for missing information.
Review, analyze and accurately input financial and statistical information into the appropriate system(s) to provide timely and accurate quote (pricing), policy, reinsurance, endorsement processing. Maintain various databases to ensure all systems accurately reflect updated account information/documentation in accordance with company underwriting guidelines.
Interpret data and set up accounts in appropriate system(s) ensuring accuracy, often working directly with the underwriter.
With minimal guidance from Underwriter produce quotes and binders for new and renewal accounts/policies (i.e., identify/gather relevant account information to quote and/or bind the policy; identify proper forms and endorsements used for policy construction, etc.).
Complete all aspects of reinsurance tasks per underwriting guidelines with minimal supervision.
Review and analyze accounts for reinsurance placement, organize information and accurately input data into required system. Obtain required underwriting data from client. Manage all aspects of the risk account from submission to applicable document issuance.
Perform quality control checks to ensure data accuracy and maximize the integrity, quality and usability of information which will minimize discrepancies encountered by other departments.
Proactively problem solve to meet and exceed client/broker expectations with internal standards. Work on identifying process/system improvement concepts, and critical success factors for achieving high results in Operations.
Provide excellent customer service in a timely and professional manner to internal and external customers including, but not limited to Underwriters; Operations; Agents and Brokers; to facilitate the processing of business with current and prospect accounts.
Respond to brokers service requests for loss runs, endorsements, etc.; ensuring all appropriate documentation is received (i.e., signed statements of values; signed terrorism rejection forms; obtaining copies of underlying policies for umbrella and excess policies); troubleshoot transaction processing issues with the Operations Department. Research and assist in resolving inquiries generated from internal and external customers (i.e., policy/account status, rating, and billing issues, etc.).
Participates in broker/agency visits, loss inspections, etc., per Underwriter's recommendation.
Orders and retrieves Risk Engineering reports as necessary based on underwriting criteria. Reviews inspection reports and summarizes/highlights key elements based on existing underwriting data; follow-up on recommendations to ensure compliance to MSIG risk management standards.
Accurately enter data into Cat Modeling Template and submit to Cat Modeling Team. Analyze output for both catastrophe management as well as improve underwriting decisions. Provide the underwriter with base analysis (i.e., flood zone info, if included).
With minimal supervision, process, and issue mid-term premium and non-premium bearing endorsement transactions within threshold. Refer all material change endorsement requests to appropriate Underwriter for sign-off and approval.
Properly document all systems/account files within established due dates. Ability to effectively manage, organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
