* walking canines(no matter the weather), changing feline litter pans

* cleaning and maintaining hospital interior and outside premises (this includes lobby, lunch room, groom room, storage room & any other part of the clinic that needs attending to)
* checking on all patients throughout the day
* Bathing pets for the groomer or kennel baths after boarding
* prepare pets for dismissal
* assisting Veterinarians and and Technicians when needed
* giving medications to hospitalized or boarding patients (will provide training)
* communicates to Vets/Techs about patients health that are being boarded or hospitalized

The Full-Time and Part-time positions work Monday-Friday with alternating Weekends

About the Role

Job Description Overview:
. Assist with patient care and treatment- Administering vaccines, collecting blood, urine, other samples for in house and referral laboratory diagnostics
. Monitor hospitalized pets / Monitor/aid in caring for animals after surgery
. Maintain inventory and stocking
. Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims
* Aiding with routine diagnostic tests (i.e. Taking radiographs, running bloodwork, preparing samples for lab)
* Maintain & sterilize surgical instruments/equipment
* Clean/Disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospital
* Administering medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision
* Answering phones
* Customer service
* Helping clients with their pets
Qualifications:
* Must be 18yrs old or older
* Must be a self-starter, able to multitask and a team player.
* Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.
* Prefer 2+ year's experience
* Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.
. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.
. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.

Your Role
As Medical Director, you'll balance clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, acting as both a role model on the floor and a strategic partner behind the scenes.
You will:
* Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care (~75% clinical)
* Oversee medical standards, protocols, and quality initiatives
* Lead, mentor, and support our ER doctor team
* Partner with the Hospital Director to shape operations, recruitment, and long-term planning
* Foster team collaboration and a culture of accountability, growth, and trust
* Strengthen relationships with referring veterinarians and the local community
* Collaborate with Ethos Veterinary Health to access leadership development, clinical education, and research opportunities
What We're Looking For
* DVM or equivalent and eligibility for a Wisconsin veterinary license
* Emergency medicine experience
* Minimum 2-5 years of leadership experience
* A passion for mentorship and driving medical excellence
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
