About the Optometrist Opening
Del Family Eyecare is seeking an Optometrist dedicated to serving patients and providing the highest level of patient-centric care. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to perform full-scope optometry and care for a variety of patients and conditions. You'll be supported by a full staff of Optometric Technicians and Opticians, enabling you to spend quality time with patients to determine an ongoing care plan. Approximately two to three comprehensive exams are scheduled per hour, with additional office visits scheduled intermittently. The Del Family Eyecare is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday-the practice is open the number of hours the Optometrist wishes to work. At the moment we are seeking a part time Optometrist, with an opportunity to grow into Full Time. The days and hours can be discussed.
The practice is looking for a friendly team player with a solid work ethic and adept at working in a clinical setting. A candidate who is bilingual or experienced in additional ocular specialties will be an asset to the team. Del Family Eyecare promotes a flexible and pleasant work environment and is proud to serve patients throughout South Florida. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. What would you do? - The Specifics
Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards. Monitors retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
Optimizes and oversees the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company's policies and operational guidelines. Identifies areas of opportunity and creates an action plan for improvement.
Conveys a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensures all associates do the same.
Ensures quality standards are met.
Ensures effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives according to Brand and Company standards.
Supervises and motivates Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
Assists the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
Leads and coaches associates towards the attainment of sales and customer service goals.
Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
