Leave Administrator
Location: Ridge, NY
Organization: New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS)
In This Role, You Will:
Partner with the external vendor to monitor, track, and manage employee leave claims and statuses
Ensure accurate and timely updates of leave and return-to-work information in Workday
Maintain reasonable communication with employees and managers during leave to support timely return to work
Initiate and manage claims in the vendor portal when employees need assistance or do not complete the process
Provide required employee data and complete administrative tasks related to leave claims
Respond to employee and manager inquiries and direct them to the vendor portal as appropriate
Coordinate leave information and updates with the Human Resources department
Oversee return-to-work processes for employees returning from FMLA, workers' compensation, or other extended leaves
Ensure fitness-for-duty or release documentation is received prior to return to work when applicable
Educate employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
Provide leave reports to Human Resources upon request
Advise employees and managers on leave laws and the interaction with PTO, workers'compensation, and disability benefits
Support ADA accommodation requests and assist with the interactive process
Maintain confidentiality of employee medical records and documentation
Stay current on applicable leave and accommodation laws, including FMLA, ADA, and state and local regulations
Serve as backup for HR Generalists and perform other duties as assigned

Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws, both federal and state.

Key Responsibilities

PET/CT Technologist
Location: Float- Suffolk & Nassau
Schedule: Monday-Friday (4/10s between 7-7)

In This Role, You Will:
Administer radioactive chemical compounds for imaging procedures.
Perform patient imaging using sophisticated radiation-detecting equipment.
Process and enhance images using advanced computer systems.

Active New York State License.
At least 2 years of experience in the field.

Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency, consistent performance, and compliance with state regulations, while minimizing miscommunication.
Apply for and maintain CLIA and CAP certifications as required.
Oversee the annual renewal of CAP proficiency and confirm that lab staff are proficient in conducting and reporting CAP proficiency samples.
Ensure that all satellite offices meet CAP standards.
Identify, document, and communicate any discrepancies or concerns to lab staff and the QA/QM supervisor.
Verify accurate reporting of quality control data for all lab instruments and manual tests.
Ensure completion and documentation of daily, weekly, monthly, and as-needed maintenance procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date temperature and centrifuge logs.
Ensure timely calibration of lab instruments.
Confirm staff compliance with new QC or reagent lot installations.

Conduct periodic and random travel to satellite offices to check for adherence to quality control and assurance standards.

In This Role, You Will:
Running daily reports for incomplete physician charges and notes for review.
Once appropriately reviewed throughout the day you will send correspondence to providers on items for completion and will follow up appropriately
Reminding healthcare providers on proper workflows to ensure notes and charges are completed timely.
Review daily worksheets or queues to add appropriate clinical ICD codes to patients charts for laboratory, radiology, procedures, and treatments.

In this role, you will:
Perform high-complexity molecular testing, including Open Array and PCR methodologies, ensuring precision and adherence to established protocols.

In This Role, You Will:
Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and practices.
• Ability to operate and maintain centrifuges and processing equipment authorized within the Laboratory Services Department.
• Focused on safety and quality assurance procedures with ability to function within or above regulatory agency requirements.
• Performs multiple tasks such as; accessioning, restocking of laboratory supplies, disposal of biohazard waste, pending logs, scanning records and maintenance of laboratory work flow.
• Proper usage of time management skills.
• Interact in a positive manner with supervisors, manager and coworkers.
• Experienced with workflow management.
• High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; resourceful and organized.
• Assumes other duties as assigned by management.
• Understands and observes all confidentiality and HIPAA provisions.
• Ability to navigate and perform required tasks on Labdaq and Onco -EMR.
• Recognizes and conveys to management any departmental improvements necessary.
We Require:
High School Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year experience in laboratory operations, preferred.
Experience with Labdaq/EMR systems
Must be able to work an overnight shift

Job Description:
Medical Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Southampton, NY
Hours: 5/8.5 Hour Shifts; Monday-Friday (Between 7-7)
Organization: New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS)
In This Role, You Will:
Manage daily opening and closing procedures of the office.
Welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a professional atmosphere.
Assist with scheduling, appointment reminders, and co-pay collections.
Build and maintain patient records in the EMR system.
Assist with quality assurance surveys and prevention screenings.
Protect patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
We Require:
High School diploma with at least 1 year of experience.
Excellent communication skills and customer service experience.
Spanish speaking is preferred.
