Midwest Valve Services, A Novaspect Company, is currently offering an opportunity for a Repair Technician with an emphasis in pressure relief valve and field services to join our fast paced, customer-oriented team.
Repair Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA standards
Participate in the repair of safety relief valves in accordance with the National Board VR Code
Participate in the machining of nozzles, discs and associated parts to OEM specifications
Assist with the repair and testing of safety relief, industrial isolation valves, and actuators
Rigging and hoisting valve and actuator components in compliance with OSHA standards
Assist in loading and unloading tools and equipment into service vehicles
Apply math skills to verify measurements, calculate dimensions and verify tolerances
Complete valve repair and service reports
Maintain a clean work environment
Average travel time is up to 50-60% (Monday-Friday) over the course of the year. This means local travel to customer sites to perform on-site work and travel as needed throughout the Midwest.
Spring and Fall are outage seasons and are the busy travel times of the year
Weekends and afterhours work may be required, up to 20% of the time
Overnight travel is required

Requirements
Repair Technician Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma required
Industrial maintenance or industrial valve repair experience preferred
Associate's degree in industrial mechanical maintenance, Instrumentation or related Technology field Preferred

We are seeking a strategic leader to drive sourcing excellence and supplier management for North American projects. In this role, you will define project-specific supplier panels, align with Supplier Quality Engineering, and shape sourcing strategies (make-or-buy, regionalization, localization). You will lead budgeting input for new projects, create volume opportunities through cross-unit alignment, and ensure site-level execution. This position works within a team to progress new design concepts through the prototype and testing phase on to global production while referencing our design standards and processes throughout the project. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of activities ranging from concept and prototype development, testing and evaluating design performance, design validation through engineering calculations, and formal project documentation.
As part of an international team, you will work to take designs from concept to production, followed by product introduction and early technical support. Other duties will include participating in, and leading communication efforts with multi-functional teams as well as working with suppliers and manufacturing sites worldwide. Responsibilities also include completing and documenting design project calculations performed both computationally and analytically.

+ Own responsibility for completion of parallel assignments such as part number creation, test specification development, Instruction Manual drafting, and management of Design Practices and Procedures.
+ Recommend and implement process changes to drive continuous improvement to project schedules for enhanced execution efficiency
+ Provide regular project updates to team members and the senior leadership team throughout the full project timeline
+ Actively participate in continuous improvement and further technology development within our core engineering & design fields
