NRTC CEO and leadership

Mr. Bryan serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC), an organization focused on providing commercial technology solutions to the nation’s rural electric and telephone cooperatives and companies. Prior to NRTC, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of ICO Global Communications, a next generation satellite and terrestrial wireless company. Before ICO, Mr. Bryan served as the Chief Financial Officer of Craig McCaw’s Eagle River Holdings, the President of United Pan Europe Communications (UPC) (now Liberty Global), the Vice President/Finance and Treasurer of Jones Financial Group and Jones Intercable (now part of Comcast), and the Vice President and Manager of the Communications Division at NationsBank Corporation (now Bank of America). Mr. Bryan has served on the Board of Directors of Nextel Communications, Clearwire Communications, OpenTV, Telekabel, ICO, A2000, UPC, the Samaritan Institute, and the Jekyll Island Foundation. In August 2012 Mr. Bryan was appointed to the Board of Directors of FirstNet by the United States Secretary of Commerce and chaired the Finance Committee of the Board. He also began service in May 2015 on the Board of Directors of Arris Group, where he sits on the Audit Committee.

Jack Harvey became Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of NRTC after the retirement of Bob Phillips, who had held the position for 23 years. Harvey leads a team of professionals and staff dedicated to the cooperative’s mission of bringing advanced telecommunications solutions to strengthen member businesses and improve the quality of life in rural America. Prior to becoming Interim President and CEO, Harvey was Senior Vice President of Business Operations for NRTC and provided technical and operational leadership to all of NRTC’s Utility Solutions, Video Services and Internet Services divisions. In this position, he maintained relationships with NRTC’s multiple business partners to expand and grow NRTC’s business units in support of both telco and electric members.
