Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine Operator based in Stanton, CA. The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce high-quality parts to meet aerospace industry standards. Daily tasks include performing precision machining operations, conducting quality checks, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring that all equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
Qualifications

What You'll Do

Job DescriptionDescription:Temp-to-hire The Mill Machinist is responsible for the set up and operation of CNC Mills to perform machining operations, such as turning, boring, threading and facing, on metallic or nonmetallic work pieces according to specifications for the aerospace and other industries.Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate Set up Mori Seiki and/or HAAS Mills with Fanuc and HAAS controls.
Make changes to offsets and change/touch off tools.
Ability to read and explain Blueprints, Engineering Changes, and Manufacturing Instructions.
Mathematics skills: Geometry, Algebra and Trigonometry.
Comprehensive understanding of mechanical components, tooling and fixtures.
Use of all measuring instruments including Dial Bore Gauge, Micrometer and Comparator.
Comprehensive understanding of tool geometries, materials, and coatings.
Must be knowledgeable in tooling selection and speeds / feeds.
Problem solving skills.
Accurately complete all required documents (Router, Production Inspection Report, Programs, etc.).
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
Must be able to be able to listen carefully to verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to load material in and out of the machines.
Must keep machine properly maintained.
Any other duties as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to squat and kneel on an occasional basis.
Ability to twist and bend the neck and waist on a constant basis.
Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a constant basis.

Job Title: CNC SET UP MACHINIST

Reports To: MACHINE SHOP MANAGER
FLSA Status: FULL TIME HOURLY
CNC machinist must possess excellent attention to detail and will be responsible to follow out machining of parts in accordance with prints, and Company procedure requirements.

· Create CNC/Lathe and Mill setup sheets
· Able to setup/operate complex (+/-.010 or lower, TP
· Perform complex Grind setup's.
· Complex GD&T measurement using calipers, height gage, bore gages etc.
· Advanced shop math
· Advanced Blueprint reading
· Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
· Must own basic inspection equipment (0-6” Caliper).
