CNC laser experience would be an added benefit. You will be programming primarily aluminum and stainless-steel parts that range from simple brackets to complex welded chassis' with tight tolerances. Must be able to comfortably work with close tolerance of +/-.005' to +/-.010'. During times when your programming responsibilities are caught up you will also help support the shop by operating punches, CO2 laser, or a press brake. This is a challenging but rewarding position. Responsibilities: Use customers solid models to create CNC programs for Amada punches and a CO2 Laser. Create your own solid models when the customer is unable to supply them. Compare provided solid models to provided engineering drawings to ensure that they are in agreement with each other. Detect discrepancies between standard sheet metal fabrication practices and what the customer is trying to achieve while offering solutions if need be. Work cohesively with the shop floor mechanics to achieve the customer's requirements in a timely manner. Operate a CNC punch, press brake, or laser if programming duties have been completed. Qualifications: Must be able to efficiently work in SolidWorks version 2014 or later with minimum supervision. Prior experience using Amada AP100 would be a benefit but not required. Must have prior experience setting up and operating CNC punches and press brakes. Experience operating a CO2 laser would be an asset. Must be able to read and follow complex engineering drawings. Must have an understanding of MIL specs and GD&T. Must be able to create solid models when they are not provided.
