* You will perform job with utmost Caution and Safety
* You will set up spray drying equipment within tower and on packaging floor
* Operate packaging, batching and all other assigned equipment within the Dryer area
* Take samples and test per instructions with appropriate equipment and record information on production reports
* You will record and validate process information per state and Conagra requirements
* Enter data in Production and Quality information systems
* Assist in area cleanup
* Participate in plant wide Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Adhere to all Safety policies, including all Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.

The Coating Operator I operates parylene deposition systems to coat customer-supplied parts to meet customer and Engineering specifications. This position also operates other equipment such as vacuum ovens, plasma etcher, tumble coater or other machines. Performs light maintenance and refurbishing on equipment. May perform shipping, receiving and other duties as requested.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Follows process instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSP's) and verbal instructions from the Plant Manager, Coating Center Manager, Production Supervisor, or Production Manager.
· Prepares job traveler sheets and coordinates and/or performs the processing of parts through some or all of the following tasks: unpacking, cleaning, promoting, masking, fixturing, coating, de-fixturing, demasking, packing, and completing all required documentation.
· Loads machines, monitors process equipment during run, and verifies coating thickness using various measurement devices and tools.
· Operates all machines connected with the promotion and deposition process with minimal help or assistance. Shuts down, unloads, reloads and starts machines as scheduled.
· Able to operate, maintain and troubleshoot parylene deposition systems or other related equipment. Performs routine maintenance, such as changing pump oil, cleaning valves and cold traps, as well as performing system refurbishing at a defined interval.
· Maintains records, checklists and log books on equipment, including the documentation of witness strips, QC testing and maintenance.
· Able to read customer or engineering drawings or specifications as related to the processing of customer parts.
· Assembles fixtures and assemblies for coating.
· Prepares, uses and disposes of chemical cleaning and promotion baths.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
· May set up, adjust, maintain and operate the microblaster.
· May fixture customer parts in preparation for the coating process.
· Able to participate in FAA/DOT testing as necessary.
· Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
· May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); proven mechanical ability and/or previous machine operator experience.
BASIC SKILLS:
· Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
· Ability to speak, read and write English.

WORK HOURS (SHIFT)- 1st Shift or 2nd Shift (5-8's or 4-10's, M-F or M-Thurs)
STARTING PAY- $24.00-$30.00/hour depending on experience, plus 7.5% shift differential for 2nd shift
REQUIRED EDUCATION- Associate's degree in Machine Tool or 1+ years of experience working on lathes
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE- Prefer 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment requiring skilled tasks
In this role, you will be responsible for planning machining operations, programming and setting up lathes, using manual equipment, designing fixtures, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This position demands strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to determine machining operations; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Utilize Master Cam for programming
Input instructions and set tool offsets for lathes; calculate requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; validate part programs
Install and adjust various components on lathes, including chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers
Operate manual equipment such as saws, lathes, grinders, and sanders
Design and create fixtures, jaws, and inspection gauges
Verify machine settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces; adhere to international standards
Produce parts in quantities ranging from single units to hundreds
Ensure specifications are met by monitoring drilling, grooving, and cutting operations; take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, adjust and reprogram, sharpen and replace worn tools; follow quality assurance procedures
Maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment; follow manufacturer's instructions and troubleshoot malfunctions
Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to ensure continuity among work shifts
Complete production and quality logs to document actions
Contribute to organizational goals by accepting new and different requests; seek opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Occasionally work overtime as required
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Mastercam programming
Strong computer skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Technical aptitude, creativity, analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivation with a results-oriented mindset
Experience with hand and power tools
Proficiency with common measuring equipment
Knowledge of CMM and PC-DMIS PRO is a plus
Forklift experience is a plus
Ability to read blueprints, including GD&T tolerances
Understanding of basic safety standards and procedures
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 25 pounds or more, up to 50 pouns unassisted
Stand at the machine for up to 8 hours a day
Load heavy chucks into the machine
Bend and reach into the machine
Move large pieces of stock onto saws

Job Summary

Responsibilities
Must be a subject matter expert in the following functions/activities (perform correctly and without assistance):
Able to Run Manual and CNC Machines at an expert Level.
Perform full setups on CNC mills and/or lathes from print or model - including indicating vises, fixtures, and part zeros.
Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models to execute machining strategies.
Adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and offsets to optimize quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, setup, and part accuracy independently.
Ensure in-process inspection and first article inspection compliance.
Collaborate with engineers and programmers to refine setups and improve processes.
What You Bring:
5+ years of CNC machining experience, with a strong emphasis on complex setups and first-run parts.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and setup sheets.
Strong understanding of machine offsets, tool presetting, and basic G/M code.
Experience with multi-axis machining or live tooling.
Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiar with the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
Solid understanding of lean manufacturing
At least 5 years of relevant experience in machining manufacturing.

MILLING MACHINIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, set up sheets, and charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions such as type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used.
Load and set tools while understanding run out, tool length stick outs, and proper holder based on what the tool is doing.
Positions and secures tools in tool holders on turret and cross slide.

Able to set and adjust work offsets, tool wear lengths, and cutter comp.
Adjusts work-shift offsets of tools at each station.
Must be able to run more than one machine where cycle time permits.
Perform Quality Control Characteristics documentation of tolerance zones specified on blueprints.
Operate machine tools and machine with supervision.
Able to straighten parts per work instructions or set up sheets.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree in machining.
0-2 years of CNC machining experience.

Position Summary
The role of a CNC Machinist II is to perform intermediate to complex machining and programming activities in line with company capabilities. This position has attained full proficiency as a CNC Machinist I and can successfully apply CNC principles, procedures, and setups unique to the company to execute machining strategies. Essential Functions
Perform intermediate to complex machining and programming activities in line with company capabilities, including:

Properly locate, open and save 3D files associated with project, post program to a machine using network links.
Program parts using 2D and/or 3D toolpaths using Surfcam or Mastercam on mill and/or lathe; modify existing programs to enhance efficiency.
Select the proper cutting tools needed to machine parts based on part geometry.
Design custom fixtures for work holding as needed.
Calculate cutting speeds and feeds and the depth of cuts based on material and work holding.
Select and prepare raw materials for machining.
Setup and operate multiple machines to perform milling and/or lathe activities.
Perform dimensional and visual inspection of parts per specifications using basic measuring equipment.
Track individual labor time using ERP system.
Collaborate with team members to clarify project requirements and resolve issues.
Provide advice or solutions in technical areas for less experienced machinists.
Collaborate with Project Managers to calculate time and material costs for quoting purposes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiencies for machining and tooling selection through research and development.
Assist with cleaning and preventative maintenance of machines, tools, and workstations.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Wear PPE as required.
