Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist for a long-term, day shift role with a manufacturing company located in Beaverton, OR. The person in this position will set-up and run three axis vertical mills to machine parts for a variety of industries. PAY: $27-$30/hr CNC Machinist Responsibilities: * Set-up and operation of mill parts with varying complexity and precision. * Suggest modifications to program/setup to increase tool life, limit waste, and improve part quality. * First article and intermittent inspection of parts to prints. * Assisting with fixture development and implementation. * Deburr parts as needed. * Assisting with training for less experienced machine operators. * Willingness to cross-train in other manufacturing departments. * Follow all safety guidelines including wearing appropriate PPE (safety toe boots, safety glasses) at all times. * Work a standard schedule of 5AM-3:30PM, Monday through Thursday. The CNC Mill Machinist position is responsible for set-up and operation of 3-5 Axis CNC machines in compliance with inch and metric drawing specifications. PAY: $22-29/hr CNC Mill Machinist Responsibilities: * Set up and operate 3-5 Axis CNC machines to machine flat, contoured and formed parts to inch and metric drawing specifications. * Act as technical resource regarding tooling and machining capabilities. * Act as the lead in the machining department, supporting and directing staff. * Evaluate and justify new tooling and machining processes. * Communicate issues relating to work orders, programming errors, material shortages or errors. * Continuous focus on reduction of material, labor and scrap. * Perform minor maintenance activities as required by the preventive maintenance program. * Continued education and training including, but not limited to: ISO 9001, safety, blueprint reading, teamwork, Statistical Process Control and MasterCam. * Mentor and train other Machinists on staff. * Interact with engineers on design of parts. * Advise on corrective actions that need to be taken. * Other duties as assigned.
