Job Duties and Tasks
Operate assigned precision CNC machinery.
Receives process traveler, verify revisions match, review completed previous operations on all paperwork.
Receives material, loads pallets and robot, as necessary.
Checks parts for conformances according to inspection plan and blueprint using measuring instruments confidently
Verify the correct program is running on the machine and revision matches traveler.
Red tag units that are out of specification (OOS) and submit to the Quality Manager.
Observe line clearance procedures.
Ensure work area, machine, tooling, and parts are cleaned regularly and free from excess oil. Tooling returned to proper area.
Maintain quality and acceptable production outputs.
Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance on assigned machine based on established standards, and record it.
Offset the machine to the blueprint for part conformance as needed.
Replace tooling at the machine when required.
Attend all assigned meetings
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Key Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
One - Three years of machinist experience required, preferably within a medical device company.
Exposure to ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 as it relates to the job.
Time management, prioritization and organization skills.
Knowledge of testing equipment, statistical methods and control plans.
Organizational and problem-solving skills.
High School or equivalent.
English communication skills preferred.
General knowledge of precision measuring instruments. The instruments should include, but not limited to calipers, ID / OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and plug and tread Go/No Go gauges.
Ability to read Blueprints.
Required knowledge of basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra.
Skilled in adapting to a changing work environment, competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently - achieving customer and quality objectives.
