Job Summary/Overview
This classification requires set up, operation and inspection of CNC machining centers to produce high quality production components in a manufacturing atmosphere.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performsall work in a manner that conforms to safety and environmental policies of the Company.
Responsible for following tool routings and blueprints to set up 6 axis turning centers, 6 axis mill turn centers and automatic chucking lathes.
Responsible for adding or removing tooling in the machine as needed. Setting tool offsets, setting part offsets, and making any adjustments needed to maintain print specifications.
Perform all inspections per work instructions using micrometers, calipers, height gages, plug and snap gages and all in process gages.
Operators are required to load/unload, de-burr, and clean parts from the machines.
This classification also requires team members to rotate into all areas of classification regularly.
Assists or performs training of other personnel on job duties as directed by Supervisor.
Performs other duties conducive to assuring optimum productivity within the Plant as the need arises, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

SCOPE
This position sets up, operates and tends to grinding machines and related tools that produce fluted endodontic files.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Studies shop orders, DHRs and work instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences.

The Laminator Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining lamination equipment to apply protective or decorative films, foils, or facings to Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) sheets, blocks, or panels. Sets up production machines following prints and specifications. Assigned machines may include manual lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment.
Must be able to operate manual lathe, mills and similar tool room equipment
Fabricate assigned part using manual lathe
Chooses, aligns, and securely attaches holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines.
Applies knowledge of mathematics and instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
Identifies malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjusts controls of machine to correct errors.
Inspects and measures completed production units to identify defects caused by machine setup.
Starts or restarts equipment after power outages or interruptions.
Maintains a safe and orderly production area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
Ability to operate and set up a manual lathe.
Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
