Reports to: Production Supervisor Responsibilities: • Set up and operate Doosan CNC lathes with live tooling, Y-axis functionality, and Fanuc controls. • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to ensure machining to spec. • Perform tool changes, set offsets, and make minor G-code edits to maintain tolerances. • Conduct part inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.). • Monitor machine performance and adjust machining parameters for efficiency and tool life. • Ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards throughout production runs. • Complete required documentation including job travelers, inspection sheets, and production logs. • Collaborate with programming, engineering, and quality teams for troubleshooting and process improvements. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S and company safety standards. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or machining certificate preferred. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and using standard inspection tools. • Familiarity with G-code programming and ability to make minor edits and offsets at the machine. • Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, cutting tools, and basic machining principles. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on second shift. Preferred Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC lathes, preferably Doosan with Fanuc controls and live tooling. • Experience operating lathes with sub-spindles and Y-axis features. • Background in high-mix, low-volume production environments. • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards and quality control procedures. • Forklift or overhead crane experience/certification a plus. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for long periods, lift-up to 50 lbs., and handle repetitive tasks. • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for precision measurements and fine detail work. Job Summary We are seeking CNC Operators / Machinists to join our team in Blue Ash, Ohio. This is a full-time position for both the first and second Shifts. The role involves operating CNC mills, lathes, and/or grinders to manufacture parts that meet customer specifications and production standards. Duties and Responsibilities Set up machines using general shop tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers) and precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, indicators) following detailed setup procedures. Operate machines to manufacture parts using fixtures, shuttles, clamps, and associated tooling to locate parts for machining. Complete required documentation (e.g., travelers, deviation tickets) with inspection information for parts run as required. Perform in-process and first-piece inspections using standard precision measuring equipment to ensure parts meet specifications outlined on operation sheets or blueprints.
