We overhaul arresting engines and launch valves and are the sole source of supply for the cables used for aircraft arrestment (i.e., purchase cables and cross deck pendants), we manufacture hardware in response to fleet emergencies, and we manufacture a wide range of support equipment and test this equipment appropriately. We are the sole source of supply and last source of supply for critical hardware that is essential to Navy Fleet operations. PMD produces a large range of machined components from small components approximately one inch in size to large frames and equipment bases that are over 30 feet long. This particular position would involve the operation of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and various electric and pneumatic hand tools. This position is based in the Lakehurst, NJ area with the idea candidate within a 40-mile radius of the base. It requires four (4) days of on-site work, with ten (10)-hour workdays from Monday to Thursday. There is also the potential for overtime on Friday and Saturday, depending on the workload.
