The goal is to produce high quality parts to customer specifications.
Responsibility:
* Follow Procedures & Work Instructions: Adhere to all safety, quality, and engineering procedures.
* Prepare and Operate CNC Machines: Machines perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
* Load and Unload Materials: Handle raw materials and parts on the machines.
* Inspect Finished Products: Visually inspect and use hand gauges to measure parts and compare against requirements to ensure parts meet specifications.
* Complete Production Documentation: Record daily production data such as scrap and efficiency.
* Conduct SPC Checks: If required, perform SPC checks as per Control Plan and Work Instructions.
* Maintain 5S Standards: Follow 5S guidelines to keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
* Daily Machinery Maintenance: Conduct daily checks and preventative maintenance to ensure functionality.
* Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills/Experience:
* Mechanical inclination and basic knowledge of manufacturing
* Prior experience as a CNC machine operator is strongly preferred, but not required.

What You'll Do:
Perform machine setups, changeovers, and CNC program debugging, including necessary machine adjustments and tool changes.
Operate and maintain CNC Swiss-style machines, finishing machines, hand tools, and fixtures; perform burr removal as required.
Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions.
Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators.
Utilize ERP and machine monitoring systems to manage work orders, monitor production, and document quality checks electronically.

What you'll own
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss-style lathes (including 20's, 32's, 38's, NTY3's; Hanwha and Hardinge) to manufacture medical instruments and implants.
Run production to established procedures and work instructions; complete deburring and finishing as required.
Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, inspection check-sheets, and work operation sheets.
Use precision metrology tools-calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth micrometers, height stands, optical comparator, Micro-Vu, Keyence, and vici measuring tools-to verify parts per AQL and documentation.
Troubleshoot dimensional issues, make tool changes and machine adjustments, and approve setups completed by other operators.
